Gee, I didn't realize traveling and meeting other people was actually a video game.
So who else is up for this sort of thing? Marvin's over in Farmington is a good place to hang out, assuming you aren't terribly claustrophobic. Heh.

My friend derek and I are planning on taking a trip up there soon. Is it true they have F-Zero AX?

Yup. It was dead when I went there, but that was probably a good month ago.
We have an Off Topic forum that would be a perfect place to continue everyone else's discussion kthx.
Anybody who doesn't like my choice of arcade road tripping as a summer activity, please take a number and wait in the Cry Me a River line.
I want to go to Wizzywig and play with the anime stuffs...
I mean, I should go buy a bus ticket nows.....
RIP Kamino. 1984-2010. Yes, yes I do like nes...
<+skaar> Maybe you should ask yourself "What is it about me that makes men not want to let me penetrate them?"
I've been to Marvin's recently. Make sure to post when you're going somewhere else and maybe we can carpool.Originally Posted by davidbrit2

We should definitely go to Marvin's sometime soon, then. But having a big group there would be a little foolish, since the place is so packed with games that it's actually hard to walk. Heh. I'll actually be going to Ohio again in a week or so. If that's not too soon, I could stop at the arcade on the way back.
They also have Beatmania there, right? Thats the only Bemani thing I have yet to try out (and Pop 'n Music). I say as long as there is a date thats atleast 2 weeks away from the day its posted is fine by me, mostly so I can make sure to get work off that day.

Marvin's doesn't have Beatmania, but AFC does. It's IIDX 8th Style, but the screen sucks. The two places aren't that far from one another.
I'll be in Ohio June 30. I could stop at the arcades on the way home July 1 or something like that. Who's with me?
Hell, why not just meet in Canada?!? New York? Japan???
I'm bitter about Grand Rapids proximity.
I will get over it, I'm sure.
No arcades in Grand Rapids - I mean, there's Kahunaville, but that's a joke relative to Pete's.
Yeah, Kahunaville is kinda lame. But Gamezone in Centerpointe mall should be opening sometime before the turn of the century. It looks sort of like a Gameworks style arcade. There's also a Pinball Pete's in Lansing, and while it's considerably smaller than the Ann Arbor location, they still have a bunch of really cool stuff. And Putter's in Kalamazoo is a nice place to hang out, if you don't mind the drive, and you're into DDR. Heh.
I'm all about marvins if they have AX. And I'm sure there's a number of people on here who'd be interested in checking that out and maybe unlocking some stuff if it's the proper region. Space be damned :P
There used to be a tilts around here that was big, but it didn't upkeep crap. I'd almost suggest talking to robo about having a special game night for peeps, although his house isn't the largest, he's had some pretty good sized groups of people there for his game nights.

I'm still waiting for all the pictures from the last meeting to be published somewhere...
Hey Chris, did you ever finish that article about the Ann Arbor meeting? I was looking forward to reading that.
