I was thinking about this while playing FF4 this morning: What if FF4-6 was made on the PSX in the style of FF7-9 without changing any of the plot or storyline? How do yout hink it would have differed besides graphicly?

Well I dont understand. You are saying that the plot/storyline would not be changed so I don't see what would be different except for the graphics...
I wouldnt want to see the games remade though. It's just like when they were throwing around the idea of remaking FF VII on the PS2. I prefer to play the games the way they were originally meant to be played. But at the same time it would be interesting to see how a remade game would turn out.
If you have to radically remake a game, I think it would be cool to remake 6 in like cell shading but have the entire game stylized to look like an Amano painting.
Now that would be kick ass. (:
And even if the only changes they made were to the graphics it would be well worth buying just to see it.
I'm not into the whole "Let's remake so-and-so 2D game into 3D!" Series evolving into 3D by the creator's wishes is cool with me, but remakes seem totally unnecessary. I love old-school 2D graphics. :)
heh, if the fmv's turned out anything like the 4,5,6 ones for anthology and friends, count me out. i thought those videos were aweful (tho the chrono trigger one's were pretty cool).
I guess I'd like to see the music get redone, which both cd quality audio and higher production (ala acostic instruments/orchestra/live as opposed to midi).
but since i really don't play rpgs anymore, i don't guess my opinion should count. please ignore me, thx.
