I want the 8th Edition!

You know, the one with the PSX and Dreacast info (although the online lists are super-handy). I know that 7th ed. just came out this August, so how long can I expect to wait for 8th ed.?

I suppose that I might be enticed into ordering 7th ed., though, to tide me over. I know it contains rarity and price info regarding games, but does it include that info for the systems themselves, and for peripherals, such as controllers?

It sure does. System info, peripherals, homebrews, rumored titles, even imports in some systems' cases.

Most importantly there is much more information in the book than you see in the online lists. The online stuff is intentionally toned way down for that very reason.

There is no ETA on the 8th edition as of yet. We have some big projects in the works, one of them being the assembly of the games database for all systems NOT covered in the DP Guide, much of the work in progress can again be found in those lists but it goes way beyond that. My goal is really to have an online resource for anyone looking for any information on any game for any system not currently in production. A lofty goal, but we're already well on our way. Lots of great people working with us on this!
