Oh and I regret Beating Bubsy 3D for the Playstation
Oh and I regret Beating Bubsy 3D for the Playstation
I've got a good one. I was unemployed and needed the money. I've since recovered the PDS
Keep in mind, all games complete and Mint
Sold:
Panzer Dragoon Saga
Shining Force 3
Burning Rangers
Dragon Force
That hurt a lot after they were gone.
The time I pooped my pants while playing Super Mario Bros in an Arcade because I didn't want to lose my game(I'd made it all the way to the 3rd World).
Most my regrets are not picking up certain titles when I had the chance. Such as not getting Panzer Dragoon SAGA for Saturn at $50. Begging for both the powerpad and powerglove as a kid. Having horrible taste in games as I was little. The only good thing I have ever done was pick up mint Dracula X for PCE at about $50. Guess that makes up for all my blunders.
selling my copy of pokemon blue for gameboy, as well as metroid 2
Hahah I did the same thing! Except it wasn't for Super Mario Bros, it was TMNT, Don't remeber which one. I was like 4 at the time.Originally Posted by Black_Tiger
Now that I've recently picked up another Dreamcast I'm severely regretting the day that I dumped my original system and rather large "all new" DC library....in favor of the then new PS2. Dumbest thing that I've ever done.
All of the DC games that I'm seeing in the wild are badly scratched beyond what I usually accept. My "new" DC library is going to have to look like shit.
Trading in Rival Schools and Einhander for Chrono Cross.
But I was desperate. I wanted to be one of the people to get the game on launch. So unfortunately something had to give.
When I traded my ACD Strider for Mad Stalker. Then the trading away of that and my Arcade Card Duo for some lame US Hucards. Finally, my getting rid of my Kisado for a measily $30 because the only Japanese Hucard I had was Majin Eiyuu Wataru (Keith Courage). I still want to get that Kisado back.
I most regret that all of my friends have turned their backs on gaming...![]()
When I was about 6 or 7(and didn't collect games or systems), I helped my mom throw away the old Intellivision system(complete with box, manual, inserts, everything. From when it was new), and about 50 games(all complete with box/manual/overlays/inserts, like new). Just because it was "Taking up space" in the closet!!!![]()
Not buying a brand new complete Sega Genesis with Sonic 3D Blast from Wal-Mart with a bunch of games. The systems were $20 and all games were $5!!!
Buying Superman 64 for full price!!!
Giving my Nintendo 64 away because I didn't care and I was getting a PlayStation. X_X Luckily a few days later when we went to the store I came to my sences, and got an Ice Blue Nintendo 64 system(which I will never sell or give away!)
Buying a PlayStation instead of a Dreamcast in 2000(don't get me wrong, PSX is sweet, but DC is just the best).
Playing Twisted Metal 3, for a long time I actually thought this was a great game, what was wrong with me?
Saying "Sega Saturn is just a 2nd rate PlayStation" Please don't kill me, I love the Saturn now, but this was back when it was dying and all I had mostly seen for it were the crappy games.
I regret paying full price for Beyond Good & Evil and then seeing it go bargain price about 2 weeks later...
If only more people had done that. Maybe we'd have the sequels we so rightly deserve.Originally Posted by Rogmeister

I remember literally THROWING AWAY my NES stuff in high school. The console itself wasn't working, so my borther threw it out. We didn't see much need for the games without the console (and I was big into the SNES, and TG16) so I threw those away as well. Nothing super rare or anything, just the classics such as mario, zelda, contra, final fantasy, etc.... Now that I collect I rue the day I trashed that stuff. Although we didn't keep our stuff in the best of shape so it was no big loss.
at least that's what I try and tell myself![]()
I passed on complete copies of Suikoden II and Tactics Ogre, Suikoden II for $50 and Tactics Ogre for $35. Since then, I've gotten two Suikoden IIs to feel better about it. I have yet to get Tactics Ogre. I also regret losing my Snowboard Kids 2 game. And selling my N64 and a LOT of games to get what I thought was a huge amount back then (it's been about two years). I regret that, since that was before I was a collector.
Hmmm....loooong list.
I regret:
-Picking up that damned FF7 official strategy guide in EB and reading it before I owned the game. It spoiled one of gaming's best moments for me (death of Aeris)
-Selling my SFC Jr., AV Famicom, CDX, Wonderswan, Saturn, R4 Limited Jogcon boxset, and tons of other stuff.
-Not buying Elemental Gearbolt last weekend for $20
-Not buying that mint white Saturn in Hong Kong for $80
-Losing the poster that went along with my VERSUS FF7 Guide
This list could go on forever....I am just a walking gaming tragedy.
I still hope that the day we clean out our attic, I'll find all my missing games. I regret not keeping better watch on them when we moved. They went in a box and into the attic (In theory) so I haven't seen them for.. well, going on two years tomorrow.
[Crossing fingers]
There are probably at least two dozen assorted GB, NES, SNES, N64 and Cube games up there. (In theory)
Selling off my:
TG-16 CD/Turboduo systems and games. I even had the Turboexpress w/ TV tuner.
My 1st Sega Genesis collection (I'm on my 2nd now).
My 1st SNES collection (also on my 2nd).
I was dumb. x_x
I've sold my N64 together with a boxed Zelda and Mario 64. Still don't regret it at all... But what I regret is throwing away all the boxes from my Super-Nes games. At least I have the manuals but I wouldn't do this again.
Regarding moments in gaming itself: I've beaten Baldur's Gate for the first time (on the PS2) and because of this an extra mode opened up. Guess it was extra hard or something like that. When I wanted to open it I had to load the warrior from the saved game to play. Unfortunately I pressed the wrong buttons and instead of loading the warrior I've deleted the saved game. Which meant I had to restart from scratch with playing...
