Also do i need anything special to play these on my regular dreamcast console?

Depending on when your DC was made...I forget, but one of the earlier models - you can just burn a CDR with a bootdisc image and that will allow you to play imports. You can get it on gamecopyworld or IRC. Utopia Bootdisc.
