Default Saturn CD+Plus cart. What is it.

I got a Sega Saturn Cd+Plus cart today for $5 dollars. I am not sure what it does although I have a good idea. The label is green red and yellow. It says CD+Plus for Saturn. Not sure who made it.

    Anybody have any info?

    Thanks,
    Ricardo

though when they say Plus cart it usually means either RAM cart or memory cart. But it also came with CD which is unsual?

What does it do when you plug in the cart and load CD?

    cheers

It did not come with a Cd. That is what it says on the label. I will try it out tomorrow.

    It's an import adapter.

    Default Cd Plus

You can use it to play imported Mega CD games ... however you may find that it does not work with some games. I had one, and it was not compatible with the Multimega BIOS (which I think is the same as the Mega CD2)

So you may find that it is only Mega CD1 compatible, and may not work for all games. Basically, trying to play import Mega CD games sucks. Which is why I am excited that I got a Japanese Megadrive & Mega CD 1 for $7. Well, $85 including postage, but hey ...

Plus I got some games with it that I can sell to offset the cost. I already have Sonic CD in PAL, so that can go straight away

If it's a Saturn cart, that can't be right, Vroomfunkel. You can't make a Saturn play Mega CDs. It's probably a 4 in 1 import adaptor for Saturn.

oops. Didn't read that one properly. Was in Mega CD mode!!

Ahem... anyway, as far as I know, the CD Plus for the Saturn was an import adapted only, no other functions. But I should probably keep my mouth shut, having got it completely wrong once already!

Yeah, it's an import cart only.
