Any fans here of the PS2 game Gundam: Federation vs Zion?

I've played the arcade game, and I suck balls at it. Really bad. I always get jacked. I tried the new Zeta Gundam (same engine -- new mechs) and I suck at that one too. The game is brilliant though.

I'm a big fan of Federation Vs Zeon. Its the best Gundam game in my opinion.

It manages to deliver the big mech battle royales (2 on 2, 3 on 1) with out the usual slow controls that are associated with most big mech games. Armored Core and even the other 2 PS2 Gundam games (Armored Core really needs auto target).

It has a very deep Campaign mode that plays the show to a tee. The music is all from the first series and is top notch. And if you need a game to just pop in and play for a few minutes, it exels there as well.

Defianatly one of my A+ games.

It's definitely on the high-end of the Gundam games. The only other one I played, and liked, was The Day the Colony Fell on the Dreamcast. I thought it was great for a 1st gen DC game.

I played it for a few hours last night to get a better feel and I love it more. Mostly been playing arcade mode to learn the controls better and going a little into campain mode to see what awaits. Space combat's a pain though.

fantastic game- too bad gundam's not bigger here, or the game would have actually sold better on the ps2. it would make a great online game as well!

The sad thing is -- it was designed to be a 4 player game. That's like bringing Guantlet to the console to and only allowing 2 players.

lol- yeah, THAT was done already (gauntlet legends, ps one), and it didn't work too well... or you could say it's like quartet for the master system (which should have gotten a title change, lol)...

Having fun going through the Campain modes now. How far are people in the Campain modes and anyone know when Gundam: Encounters in Space is coming out?

Heh. Funny you bring this back up. A buddy of mine just messaged me saying he picked this game up for $5. He's a major mecha head.

I'm enjoying this again myself. Up to the start of the battle of Solomon on both sides, though there's one last land mission for the Zio that is constantly kicking my ass.
