    Default Psyvariar 2 Screens

In case anyone's interested, Magicbox has some new screens:

I love the name of this one: Psyvariar 2 The Will To Fabricate. I hope that's Magicbox's weird translation. And, I also hope that this one is longer than its predecessor.

The Will to Fabricate. Heh. I wonder if that's a play on Xenosaga Episode 1.

The original Psyvariar didn't interest me that much, but hey, the more shooters the better, I guess.

And while we're on the subject of shmups, is ESP Galuda out in arcades yet?

    I love Japanese titles.

I met a translator who worked for Toyota when I was there, and he told me that he would send it stuff with perfect English, and the boss would tell him to re-translate it so it sounded more Japanese. Every time he tried to send things in that were "correct" English, they would send it back, telling him to change it. I think he gave up fighting them in the end.

They're all like this. It has to be English that Japanese will understand... although I don't know any non-English speaking Japanese that know what 'fabricate' means.

There's a similar story w/ VF4/Evo lines. I know a guy that casted some voice actors. They kept telling the guy in charge, "how about this" and then he'd mangle it and send it back.

Am I the only shmupper who doesn't like these bullet art/hell shooters? *sigh*

It's NOTHING like Mars Matrix or DoDonpachi Daioujou... there is a lot going on though.

I persoanlly can't stand Mars Matrix. At least it only set me back $15.00 The only one of those kind of games that I can stand was Donpachi. :P
