    Default Super 8 convertor

Does anybody know where I can score one of these? I can't seem to find one anywhere, let alone a typical going price.

Either that, or does anybody know where I can get an affordable famicom? $75 + $40 is well out of my price range right now.

I've yet to have seen many Super 8s, but they usually go around $50. Famicoms can be cheaper if you have connections

I just found one at buyrite for $100, and a basic famicom for $150.

I always knew their prices were on the high side, but damn! Thats outrageous!

Does anybody know of any other websites where I could locate just the console?

There are minor problems with the Super 8, mostly on the audio side of things. It also won't run a FDS, nor will it play certain Fami games properly.

Why does anyone even bother to look at their site anymore? Worst game sellers EVER. Always a total ripoff, and usually, they never come through with the proper merchandise either!

I never heard that they always screwed up the merchandise... but its really good to know!

Not really on topic, but Is the AV famicom the only famicom unit that has AV outputs?

AV famicom is the only one with AV outputs that I know of. I'm hunting one too

videogameimports.com has the AV famicom for approximatly $100US

    Is that a good/typical price?

Also, does the Twin Famicom have AV outputs? Is it really difficult to mod a regular Famicom to have av outputs?

My Fami was modded to use A/V outputs - however, unless I make a minor change in it (which I am not about to do), it won't run on US TVs. Luckily the RF adaptor still works.

It's a bit high I'd say. I've seen brand new ones go for $85 + shipping, and a used boxed one just went on eBay for about $60.

Av Famis are nice. Get one. You won't regret it. I am glad I did.
