    Default Japanese gaming websites?

Are there any websites for sellers located in Japan that I could actually read? I have a friend staying there for a year, so I could save on all of the ridiculous shipping fes, but I don't want to send her on game hunts. I'm looking to order stuff and have it sent to her, and then she could just bring it all back.

    Thanks,
    Drew

Well, if you can find someone in Japan, you might as well have them ship it to you too, unless it's a big box set. Normal games shipped normal mail aren't that expensive... not enough to warrant her carrying a load of them across the world.

Ebay has some guys that I'm sure would sell privately. Might want to try bidding on their auctions.

Well, basically I don't want to pay for EMS shiping multiple times, and I don't rust economy, it'd be forever before I knew I was ripped off. She'll probably just end up shipping them together.

Well, out of several hundred packages (500 is a generous estimate) shipped via airmail, I only lost two.

If you're only planning to pick up a few things, it's probably not a big deal. if she's bringing you back a suitcase, she may not be your friend when it's all said and done. Going anywhere from Japan is just exhausting, and carrying a lot of crap just makes it worse.

There really is this unreasonable fear going around of sending things overseas. For some countries this may be true, but I've also sent mulitudes of packages both to and from Japan without any more incidents than would be expected from the U.S. Postal Service.

Hey. If time is no issue, you should send them sea-mail. No, seriously, it takes about two months, but it is just as insurable as the regular mail in Japan, but at a much cheaper cost. Before coming back, I sent back alot of old video game stuff that way, and it all came back perfectly.

When I was living in Japan, I never had a problem once with the Japanese post. I love their how it's open 24 hours a day. What a great idea!

Boat... that's SAL in Japan right?
Ages ago I was told I couldn't insure any items by SAL... maybe my ears were clogged.
