Broke a Gamecube Controller playing Underground......i slammed it on the floor of my room and the board snapped out.....so i went outside and slammed it against the pavement.....found a piece of the board the other day.....

I wonder if Jim Cramer does these sorts of things......

Wow, I didn't realize so many people had video game related anger issues. My brother has always gotten very violent during video games. I'm the complete opposite of him; I've never thrown or hit anything in anger while playing a video game. Hell, I laugh when I die in games.

Well, add on to the list..

    Another Xbox Controller S.

And, i have twisted my PS2 controller when playing the Boiler room scene in Rise to honor. That one kept me there for over an hour, and really got me mad.

Now my PS2 controller has a rattling peice of plastic in it. I don't use my PS2 that much, though.

I've never broken a console or game. But I am surprised I've never broken a controller. When I was younger I used to slam the SNES controller to the ground alot when I was frustrated, or grip it real hard like trying to twist it in half.

I don't really get mad when I play games anymore and slam controllers or anything... I'll just cuss at it or something, but since I have to pay for the things I try and not break them.

I've never destroyed a system, controller, or game in anger... I respect my stuff too much to have a moment of aggravation cost me so greatly.

Stomped on an already broken Dreamcast the other day for the hell of it. After trying to fix it for an hour, figured I might as well try and get some good fun out of it.

When I was a little kid I used to get so aggravated playing Mario that a couple of NES controllers met their demise.

I could never do it, but I used to hang out with a guy who had a party house. On the wall in the kitchen they had a piece of plywood labeled the wall of Aaron Carnage. It had all kinds of smashed console, controller, and cartridge parts nailed to it. It was rediculous.

When I was a teenager I used to hit my NES. So much so that I bent the metal shielding inside the console until it touched and shorted out the motherboard. I also smashed one of the original controllers. After that I started to control my anger, which wasn't easy for a violently temperamental person like me. Before the NES, I would get angry playing games on my Texas Instruments 99/4A computer and would hit it sometimes. My original computer has a nice little fist shaped dent in its aluminum body.

Never got into gaming anger, and never understood those who did. If the game is getting to you that much, it is past time to set it aside and go outside for awhile.

Probably busted 8-10 PS3 controllers now due to BF3 and MW3. So many that I bought a lot of 8 broken PS3 controllers on eBay to fix my other ones. I can die to the CPU all day with no problem, but when another human being kills me at will, I get super pissed off. Luckily I'm now playing Diablo III

I have never broke a controller or anything game related out of anger. You people are fucking crazy. lol I have a friend who does break controllers out of anger, and guess what games he plays? Call of Duty series. There should be an anger and controller advisory warning on those games. "Warning, potentially hazardous to those prone to anger issues."

I've never broken anything, but my brother has. 3 xbox controllers, 9-12 gamecube controllers, 1 ps3 controllers. 1PS2 controller, countless disc based games, 2 gameboy advances, 2 ds, 1 dsi, 2 nunchucks, 1 wii motes and the list grows every day. and this is why we buy warranty in my house.

EDIT* i have almost broken a controller over street fighter 4 on the 360. m bison is impossible.

The very notion of breaking anything I own in anger is just completely baffling to me. I still have my original NES from 1989 and Game Boy from 1990 (and all the games I got at the time in working order) as a testament to taking good care of my expensive home electronics like a rational human being.

What about the opposite? I once fixed an NES in anger.

It was a front loader, but the carts wouldn't stay down, so you had to wedge something in there between the front of the cart and the front of the NES to keep them down so you could play. I used a small plastic ruler.

One day, after a particularly frustrating death in a game (which game I no longer recall, perhaps Zelda 2), I slammed my hand down on top of the NES with a vengeance. Pop! Out came the ruler, up came the game, end of story, right? Wrong.

When I pushed the game back down to try again, it stayed. Yes, I'd somehow fixed the mechanism with my furious blow. If only my PSX and PS2 could've been fixed so easily!
