I woke up painfully early and drove out to Ennis, Texas because it was directly in the center of the path of totality of the eclipse. It occurs to me that I've never seen a full eclipse before, only partial ones. Pretty damn cool. Since I was out so far anyway, I drove out further to a Gamexchange in Corsicana and bought the SNK 40th Anniversary collection for the PS4. On the drive home I stopped at the Gamexchange in Waxahachie and picked up Transformers Devastation for the PS3 and We Happy Few for the PS4. I had a pretty long day today.

hey all i am still here, been dealing a lot in the personal life since feb. i did find a few things atleast

starting off the switch games came from a gaming swap meet i needed an extra copy of mario kart to play with a friend (that never happened) while i was in texas and tiny barbarian was just a why not.
Mario Kart 8 DX - switch $30 (complete)
Tiny Barbarian - switch $15 (complete)

next up are the wii games and the punisher they came from a local goodwill. Punisher surprised me on its value of almost $40 still
    Spectrobes - wii $4 (complete)
Counter Force - wii $4 (complete)
    Punisher - xbox $7 (complete)

in late march i had to go to texas to visit a family member. one of those for the last time deals. and one of the days we were waiting around and i saw a movie trading company and i always see Steve talk about them so i popped in and i didnt see anything i wanted to try and shoe horn into my carry on so just to say i bought something i bought a copy of unreal championship for $4. it was better condition than any other copy i've seen before where i live.
This was the movie trading company in Lewisville TX (spelling?)

all the while this stuff (and more) has been going on the district i work for found them selves in a pickle and short $4 million suddenly. yea i dont know how that happens other than just ignorance. so there will be layoffs and i think the state is going to come in and take things over, which they should. any way there was a day where i just couldnt deal with the BS any more so i went out with a friend (who also works for the district) and found 2600 games at a st vincent de paul.
Kinda surprising and their prices were $1 to $3 ea. so i got a few i didnt think i had. they had like 4 copies of ET and i've never owned a copy so i grabbed two since they get hoarded. the find in this is Encounter at L5 its actually got some value to it. one of these days i'll be able to play games again.

i think i paid $12 for all of them. not gonna list them all you can see in the pic.
i left a lot behind for others but i was pretty sure i had them or wouldnt ever play them

and then this last wednesday i found another 360E console in much better shape than the one i had before. i plan on modding one so i can play all my XB and 360 games on one console with HDMI out that isnt shaped like some werido swoopy thing.
    it was $20

I've been picking up games for a couple weeks now but for some reason I always forget to post them.

Today I went a bit farther out than normal and picked up Sine Mora EX and the DioField Chronicle for PS4 at a GameXchange in Denton, TX. While I was in town I stopped at a Movie Trading Company and bought Adventure Academia: The Fractured Continent. On the way back I stopped at another indie game store in Flower Mound, TX called Collectibles Cards & Games (such a generic name for a game store!) and picked up a sealed copy of Tandem - A Tale of Shadows for the PS4.

Last week I went to a couple game stores and bought Horizon Zero Dawn, Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back, Age of Wonders Planetfall, and Fade to Silence, mostly $8.99 or under (except Bubsy, it was $13). And Noob - The Factionless was something I ordered off Amazon because it looked interesting.

Went to my favorite game store today, picked up Undernauts - Labyrinth of Yomi for PS4. Then I stopped at the Dallas headquarters of Half Price Books. Last year they had a gigantic display model of the Star Trek: Enterprise ship NX-01 that I didn't have money to buy, and it was sold by my next visit. As I was remembering that I saw a Polar Lights model of the NX-01 sitting on a shelf. It also has the NX-01 Refit upgrade that the designer Doug Drexler wanted to give it but the producers resisted it. And it's sealed, so I don't have to worry about missing any parts. And Afterimage for the PS4 came in a few days ago from Amazon.

Went game hunting today, I stopped by my former favorite game store and bought the collector's edition of Ground Zero, Texas for the PS4. It's a nice package but it won't fit too well on my shelf.

At another store called Retro Madness, I picked up Wonder Boy The Dragon's Trap for PS4. Later I stopped at a GameStop I haven't been to since I used to buy Nokia N-Gage games from them. Bought Eternights and Nuclear Blaze there, used, and the guy tried to sneak on $1.99 each for Game Insurance hoping I wouldn't notice. Oh, right, that's why I haven't been in a GameStop in years (until I bought a PS4 at least).

I ordered Hentai vs. Evil for the PS4 from Amazon. With a name like that, how could I resist? And I can't imagine the game is going to be great if they have to lean on that name to sell it. But I couldn't help myself.

So I was driving back and I came across a place I hadn't heard of, a restaurant called CosMc's. Turns out it's an experiment by McDonald's, there's one in Chicago and three around the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and that's it, four in total worldwide. The menu is all breakfast items with some stuff I've never heard of, like Creamy Avocado Tomatillo (breakfast) Sandwich and Spicy Queso (breakfast) Sandwich. And something called McPops that look like tiny jelly donuts but with cookie butter, hazelnut, and apple cinnamon fillings. Then there's a massive amount of drinks. There's also no interior seating, it's an empty room with ordering kiosks and an employee counter. I ordered an iced green tea with Dragonberry and Watermelon flavoring, it was really good. Not quite as good as a dedicated bubble tea place, but pretty close.

Didn't find much today, I only picked up a boxed Atarisoft Defender for the VIC-20. It was at a Half Price Books, sitting next to a second copy. Nearby was a Movie Trading Company and it seemed they had a copy there too, along with other Atarisoft VIC-20 titles like Donkey Kong. Some hardcore VIC-20 collector in the area must have passed away and the relatives just randomly sold off the games to any place that would take them locally. That's the only thing that explains why there's such a crazy volume of VIC-20 boxed cart games around north Garland, Texas.

I ordered a couple PS4 games off Amazon, Space Invaders Forever and World of Outlaws Dirt Racing (the World of Outlaws game on the PS3 was next to impossible to find, I thought I'd buy the PS4 sequel to hedge my bets for the future while it's cheap).
