Normally I would have this posted in the normal video/YouTube thread, but this play-through is so impressive that I wanted to get you guys' comments on this guy's run.

that's exploiting a warp glitch. it's not normally possible.

I've never seen that happen before either and didn't know you could cheat up a glitch like that either. Is this a truly done 500pt run then exploiting a bug in the game? I'd think the normal value would be the amount needed to get that vine popped in 4-2.

that's actually very impressive, to be able to do some of those jumps without killing any enemies or getting coins. Takes a ton of practice to get that down

very cool, its pretty funny how the most challenging obstacle in the run is probably just avoiding those 2 coins in 8-1.

I still find stuff years later as well.
But this trick was actually revealed by Nintendo themselves in one of the 7 issues of the Nintendo Fun Club News magazine, so I have actually known about it since around 1988 or so.
