Majority of my stuff is from ebay, but theres a shop here called Revolution CD and from time to time they have some goodies, they dont always have the best prices though. Although i actually picked up my Sega Saturn from them.
WANTS: Atari 2600/ Playstation Vita

Ebay by necessity since I live in a rural area with only a few thrift shops. When I asked a local thrift shop for NES hookups and controller, they put a well-used NES RF + controller in a baggie with Othello and were going to charge me over $20 for it. I find something in Goodwill worth reselling a few times a year. I have found bargains on Ebay, though, by browsing a lot, viewing completed auctions and sniping at low prices.
Salvation Army and Goodwill, then pawn shops and yard sales. Craigslist and ebay as a last resort.
My last post in this thread was in 2008, and since then I've been finding a lot less in thrift stores and more in movie/game stores. A Dallas area chain called Movie Trading Company sells old games, and I've found a lot of great (and rare) Atari games there over the years, along with a few assorted oddities. And retro gaming stores have blossomed all over this area since 2008, so I've got a good little selection of places to find games in. I don't have to rely on thrift stores or flea markets as much, although since I've been heading out of the Dallas/Fort Worth area for flea markets I've been coming across more finds lately.
most of my collection is from goodwill and v village but for two year's now I haven't been able to get anything so my list is this
Second hand store > Kijiji > retro store(reseller) > eBay > pawnshop's
JACK of all trades, Master of none...
Friends- Got a free Dreamcast with three controllers, 2 VMU's, and Gauntlet Legends from my sister-in-law!
Flea Markets- Not so much anymore b/c there is only one near me, and it usually has nothing new to offer.
Ebay- So addicting.
Gamestop- For GameCube games.
The Digital Press Store- Went there for the first time last week. About a two hour drive, but tons of good stuff!
Ebay and forums, I guess these are the best choices to find what you're looking for

Over the last year I have been getting the majority of my current gen stuff from Best Buy since it's way cheaper than everywhere else, including amazon. I still use ebay for the majority of my imports though.

Ebay for me since there are just about no shops close enough to buy from or that carry games i want.
The one by me is a scary place to go. The way they set up the store is down right dangerous. Needless to say they try to put up signs saying you ( the customer is responsible for your own safety not the store. Almost makes me wanna go get injured just to sue em. The other one is in south jersey ( rt 88). Total opposite. Clean organized and the people are friendly. I sometimes think the privately owned stores of Cash converters are worse than if they all were told to do things the same way.
