Default Another Air Raid cib, this time with manual $18.000 so far and keeps going

    Check it out here:
    http://www.gamegavel.com/reviews/201...id-discovered/

    and follow it here:

This is actually quite amazing, and I believe it's gonna top the previous boxed Air Raid, which sold for 30.000+

Wow, what a great story and exciting find. The game is shit, but it has certainly earned its place in collecting history.

I'm a collector, but only to a certain extent.
Not as extreme as Rickstilwell though.[/quote]

Very cool story, and that video of them searching for it is just awesome. Good luck to them on their auction, and congratulations in advance to the rich mofo who can afford to add this to his collection, haha.

Wow! That is an incredible story and find! Congrats to the family that found out they had such a piece of gaming history. Thanks for posting the story also.

How many highly desireable games can that be said for though honestly?

It's interesting too because since it has the manual with a printed address people are now finally able to look into the actual distributor a bit more as well. Maybe it'll open a whole new page on finding out where the game came from.

Hope that they scan the manual and release that. Surprised they chose Game Gavel over eBay.

Hope they rip the ROM for all those who will never be able to afford the actual game.

I see both good and bad from these types of auctions. Good that the seller makes tons of cash. Bad that the non-gamer general public hears about it on the nightly news and suddenly has grand aspirations that those dusty Asteroids and Dig Dug carts are worth large amounts. I see stuff like this only driving all gaming prices upwards, even the dirt common stuff.

Where did the manual come from? It certainly wasn't there when they found the game and took it out of the box.

They don't need to. It's been available for a number of years on all sorts of sites including Atari Age.

It was later discovered under the tray in the box. That's why you didn't see it in the video. They didn't think to look under it until later.

That's all subjective, isn't it? However, I tend to agree with the notion that most expensive/rare games are junk.

    Wow - very cool.

My thought after watching the video though? "What person thinks *Lost Luggage* was a great game?"

Played Lost Luggage just a few days back, it's an excellent game, and funny.
