I've had 2 for a while (bought it on sale earlier this year). I've played quite a bit of 1 (bloodline 15+) and am just in my first play through of 2. So far it feels like more of the same (which to me is fine).
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

Was going to buy IB II for my iPad, but then I played Dark Meadow which is much more like Silent Hill and has all the RPG exp/weapons grinding, graphical flare and Punch-Out style control mechanics of the IB games.
If you haven't tried Dark Meadow give it a go.
