Default sega Genesis s video mod help

So I am planning on doing a s-video mod on my Sega model 1 it has a Sony cxa1145p video chip.I plan on using it on a Polaroid LCD TV 1080p.
Now with that being said I have looked all around the web and every mod I look at is different in some way one says I need 2 npn the next says only one 1 says 1 33 ohm resistor the other says 23 or 27.
So if you have done this mod and have it working on a like model TV can you please tell me the parts you used in what order you put them or post a link thank-you

    Here is a link: https://cooltrainer.org/2011/06/17/m...ve-over-drive/
This also has instructions for overclock and region switch, but I've never done those, just s-video and comp/stereo jacks.

Modded around 6 or so gennys this way, and gives excellent results. I pulled +5v from pin 12 of the cxa1145 though, but it doesn't really matter where you get it from.

Here is another link to instruction for Neo-Geo that is done exactly the same way as the Genny (as it has the same cxa1145 chip) with good pics:

A few things I should point out with that diagram...
1: You don't have to grab 5V from either of the 7805s, you can get it straight from the CXA1145 from either pin 12 or 19. The second pin of the 7805 is actually ground so you don't wanna do that.
2: The negative lead of the capacitor for the chroma section should be towards your output, not your input.
3: A breadboard is actually totally unnecessary, you can solder everything directly to the CXA1145 and it'll be fine. Doing that cuts down on interference too since you don't have extra wires laying around.
4: This mod is actually applicable for *any* system that uses the CXA1145, including the SMS, X'Eye and Neo Geo AES.

I have a model 1 Genny on its way to me, and I'd really like to mod it for s-video, but I've never soldered anything in my life.

Can you ruin anything with a botched mod/soldering job?

Hell yeah, you can! I would not try this unless you are fairly good and have some experience.
