My jaw hit the floor on how well done this mod is. I would pay a very tidy sum for a couple of these!

Cool people I have bought stuff from on this board: orrimarrko kyosuke75 dave2236 video_game_addict cloudstrife29661 NESCollector75
Well, it already kind of was a T.V. based system. The Game Gear is basically a portable Sega Master System. Granted there are games for the Game Gear that were never released on the Master System. But most of the good ones are ports of Master System games.
Atari: 2600, Jaguar
Microsoft: XBox, XBox 360
Nintendo: NES, GB, GBC, SNES, N64, GameCube, GBA SP, Wii, New 3DS, Wii U
Sega: SMS, Genesis, Game Gear, Nomad, Sega CD, 32X, Saturn, Dreamcast
Sony: PS1, PS2, PS3
Wanted: 7800, Neo Geo CD
I would definitely buy one of these if it were for sale. It's beautiful.
That is simply amazing. I would gladly pay for one of those!
Super GameBoy eat your heart out. Sega sure loved to go overboard.

Well, the Game Gear did have a higher color palette and stereo sound...unlike the Master System.
Making one work on a TV isn't quite as trivial as it may sound either. I seem to remember being part of a thread discussion on here at one point that was talking about how to do it but I can't seem to find it.

It'd be great if someone made and sold these.
Saw this first on Sega-16

Nice!
This is cool, if a system like this went into production I might get back into Game Gear games. It's too bad stuff like this isn't mass produced but crappy NES/Genesis/SNES clones are made instead.
Glad you brought that up as it reminds me of some ads I saw at a game shop a while ago. Apparently there are more recent consoles being made that Sega officially licensed. If Sega is still willing to do this, maybe someone really should make a unit that runs GG carts for TV display and have Sega's official support behind the product. Nothing short of awesome, no?
We've had lengthy threads on the subject before, but this is the first indication of something becoming a reality.

Really astounding. That is nothing but love.
Way cool - I'd love to have this - Yes...most of the games can be played on master system...but It's much easier to drag a Game Gear with this kit along with you than an actual master system and a bunch of games. Me and my friends do retro game nights often and it was save me some troubles :P
Currently attempting to complete my Genesis collection! Always looking for hard to find complete games! Send me a PM

The Mega Game Gear or Super Game Gear...
Be more Easy..Well no it won't
Map 1 & 2 to A & B ...I would get that for the 32X
Wait. So a Mark III to Game Gear adapter is possible? I've never seen any proof of concept attempt on that before.
Lum fan.
