Default what is "Street Fighter Deluxe?"

In Capcom Classics volume 1 (PS2), when playing SFII - The World Warrior one of the options is "Street Fighter Deluxe." It's always grayed out tho. How do you select it? And what does it do? What's "Deluxe" about it?

    Thanks in advance.

From Wiki: The console volumes features one bonus game each. The first volume features a "Deluxe Versus Mode" for the Street Fighter II games which allows two players to compete against each other by offering the players a selection of characters from all three installments of the Street Fighter II series included in the compilation. This game mode was originally from the Street Fighter Collection 2 compilation for the PlayStation and Saturn, which are the versions emulated in Capcom Classics Collection.

So, you can have "World Warrior" Ryu vs. "Turbo Hyper Fighting" Ken

Yeah, you could think of it as a CPS1 only Hyper SF2, although I seem to remember being able to do World Warrior mirror matches with this one, which you couldn't do in Hyper SF2.

Gotta admit, I'm disappointed. I expected it to be an unlockable remake of the original Street Fighter that uses SFII's game mechanics. But I guess Capcom wasn't going to be that awesome.

It's not, but Street Fighter 1 is on Capcom Classics Vol. 2.

It is, but its just straight up Street Fighter Classic, with jerky controls and special moves that don't work and only two selectable characters and everything.

I actually kind of like the game for some reason, but I wouldn't mind playing the hypothetical remake which James Rolfe calls "Street Fighter: the Good Edition"

Yeah. I enjoy it too for what it is.

Though, other than cameos of characters from SF1 in other Street Fighter games, I don't think that Capcom is ever going to re-work that entry in the series to make it more desirable/playable.

    You're probably right, and it's a shame.
I love the SF series, but it would be a nice change of pace to go back to the simpler game play mechanics of the earlier games.
All the meters and gauges in modern 2D fighting games are a bit silly when you think about it.
Ryu is a karate man, not a space ship after all.

Or, you could say, he's not a rocket man.

And yeah about the simplicity of older fighters. While I don't dislike modern fighters I do dislike how they add so much B.S. like "if you block a certain way at a certain time then imprint your ass on the moon you'll do a Moon Ass Counter and blah blah blah" 4-6 attack buttons, two or three special moves and a Super Combo are all any fighter needs.
