pcenginefx.com forums down?

I tried to access the pcenginefx forums a moment ago and got this error message:

11/13/11 - Sorry everyone, but the forums are down for the foreseeable future. Don't know when they will be back up

I went to the main site (not forum) and there's no mention of it.

Anyone know what's up?

Well that stinks. I only recently registered. I don't visit often, but it's basically the only place where people talk about the PC-FX so it's nice to pop in now and then.

Update:

PCEFX suffered an attack similar to the attacks that SEGA-16 suffered earlier this year. The host pulled the plug on the forum side of things since the attack happened by exploiting a security hole on that side of things. The host is willing to continue hosting the site, but has demanded a restructuring. It seems a good number of users have migrated to NEO-GEO.com and I've already passed the word along there. If anyone wants to make donations to help with the restructuring, they can be sent to pcefx@pcenginefx.com

Ugh, this blows. I too am a recent joiner and I was starting to love it there. I hope the forums come back up soon.

Oh bloody hell. No one should be donating a dime to Nanto. The guy had advertising on the forum as is. If he is so concerned with the cost, he should just use a free forum service or whatever. If you guys are going to flip the bill, then the control should be handed over to the people playing the money man part.

What exactly does "restructuring" entail, by the way?

the mod Nat talked directly to the site owner. From what was said "restructuring" is fixing the security loopholes that were used to take the site down, etc. Someone more knowledgeable on the tech could answer better I'm sure.
