I'll agree with djbeatmongrel... I was a bit skeptical about picking up this game, but it is really fun. I put about an hour into it tonight. It gets surprisingly addictive trying to find the best way through the levels.
It is a bit overpriced at 800 points though IMO. They should have put in a 3rd level or some sort of multiplayer (on or offline). The way you connect to the scoreboards is also pretty clunky.
sold! its getting some good reviews and that combined with recommendations from here has me sold. a couple of reviews have also called it addictive due to its 2min and 5min modes i guess you always want to take one more go at it.
The aim of creators of World of Goo is to finish development of the game by July. The source is http://www.wiiware-world.com/news/20...nd_screenshots .
JV games announced Beer pong as a Wiiware game. Source and info is found at http://www.wiiware-world.com/news/20..._wiiware_bound .
I don't know if Dr. Mario will be release on Monday due to conflicting information.
i went ahead and got Star Soldier R and i'm loving it. I haven't even touched the 5min mode yet. after a couple passes through the game you figure out how to score more and the game gets a lot more interesting. I'm #3 in Central America woo hoo for living in a part of the world without many wii's
Today's vc games are the following:
City Connection- Nes 500 Wii points
Metal Slug - Neo Geo 900 Wii points

Metal Slug is a fun game imo.
Metal Slug is the first Neo Geo game on the vc since Top Hunter : Rudy & Cathy On Dec. 31st. Hopefully more Neo Geo games will be hitting the vc soon.

Heh, I just got City Connection for a buck last week, and have been playing it frequently over the past few days. As a cheap NES find, it's a decent game once you figure out the jumping controls, but it's hard to recommend at $5. If anyone's interested, InsaneDavid did a pretty nice review on it, and that can be found here.
I picked up Dr. Mario Online Rx and Family Ping Pong today ... and, man, I'll say it again ... I have NO idea how Nintendo expects people to have more than two or three of these things on their Wii without doing either of the following:
erasing ALL their VC games
moving ALL their VC games onto an SD card for storage
...but back to the games.
Dr. Mario is great. I haven't played the mode where you use the Wiimote pointer ... but the standard mode is full featured and the online matches are fast and furious ... I'm somewhere around 12 wins and 5 losses right now, also it doesn't appear to have any secondary friend code for friend play!! WOO!!
Family Ping Pong plays pretty much like Wii Sports tennis. You don't control the movement of the character, and the direction of the Wiimote swing doesn't really affect the direction of the shot, rather the speed of the the Wiimote swing directs the spin of the ball (left = slow / right = fast /center = medium).
Unlike the Ping Pong "game" in Wii Play, this is actually a Ping Pong game.
Not bad at all for $5 if you plan on playing it with another player...as the CPU is pretty damned easy to beat.
Dr. Mario is great though. Add my standard friend code and PM me with yours if you want to play.
