    Default Reproduction Carts

Lets talk about some reproduction carts. There is another thread about a seller shill bidding an auction of reproduction carts. Question is, how can I recognize a reproduction cart if I come across one in the wild, mainly something like Bubble Bath Babes or to that effect. I imagine if a seller in the wild has 3 or 4 copies, that is a dead giveaway.

A lot of reproductions I've seen have the logo of the website/person who made them on it. There are also those once that are see through, which are obviously reproductions.

Panesian games didn't use official Nintendo-style cases, obviously. That's a give away as well.

In most cases, you'll know a repro by the fact that it wasn't released. This'll take some getting to know the NES library. You can be a sociopath like me and be able to spot one on sight, but that takes years of being really, really lame. Take it from me.

If it's part of a bunch of games, compare the potential label's texture and cut to a game you know is legit. Likely you'll find differences if it's a repro.

For something like Bubble Bath Babes, this cart style here is basically unreproducible.

Well, it isn't but the cost to have a cart fashioned would outweigh the potential gains, that's for damn sure. So it's unreproducible for all intensive purposes. Most repros for the Panesians will look like a normal licensed NES cart or be called Pirate Booty. As Tupin mentioned, even if you're blind, it's hard to get fooled.

Basically all Repro carts are of games that were never officially released, usually fan-translated RPGs or else ROM Hacks.

If you see Sweet Home or Zelda: Outlands in the wild, A) its a repro and B) you probably want it.

Yeah, i've got a NTSC terranigma cart for asale, and besides the obvious fact that it was never released in the united states, it doesn't match cart wise since europe & america have different snes carts.
