Default New Mexico classic gamers/collectors? Sound off!!!

Come on! Contrary to national misconception, New Mexico is a state of the union populated by Americans and (presumably) classic game fans.

As far as I can tell, there's just me and Altairboy out here in the Land of Enchantment. I know we've probably run afoul of some of you at the thrift stores.

So if there are any of you out there, especially in the Albuquerque or Santa Fe areas, please stand up and be counted. Maybe we can organize a local swap or something.

..and the local classic gaming scene is apparently ice cold.

    DAMMIT ALTAIRBOY!!!

Just once I would like to see locals put over our state without bringing up the damned chiles! Isn't that the point of what I'm trying to do here?!

NM Classic Gamers: Please save this thread from Altairboy and his trite tourist-oriented babble!

How far is it to Classic Gaming Expo for you? You may be the only other community outside of Las Vegas that can call Classic Gaming Expo your "local meet"!

It's an eight-hour drive from Albuquerque to CGE. Not bad, but our fellow hobbyists from Phoenix or southern California have it considerably easier.

    Mmmm...green chile stew...(drooling uncontrollably).

I lived in Albuquerque from 1973 to March 1976 and have only been back once in 1998, just flew in and drove to Santa Fe for a family reunion (no one lives there, it's just where we all met up - hey, it was free!)

Hey...although I'm in Chicago for school, I'm from NM and am here during breaks...which is right now. I'm in Santa Fe.

    4.5 year bump!

Recent tangents in the ongoing winter weather thread indicate that there are a lot more New Mexicans on DP than one might have thought. Time for an updated roll call, and don't stay silent this time, you pinche wedos:

Albuquerque (Where the towels are oh-so-fluffy)
    Pantechncion nee Retrotaku
    Ubikuberalles nee Altairboy
    atrionfo

Clovis (land of arrowheads and Buddy Holly )
    The_Great_Dane
    Xizer

...Then there's a guy from Rio Rancho whose name escapes me.

    Anybody else?
