This thread is of a pseudo-technical nature so I put it here, but its ultimately just a brainstorm at best.

You've probably played an isometric game where you have to remember that UP is LEFT or whatever and it can get annoying and you'll forget the controls occasionally. So imagine if you could have a controller with a D-pad designed just for this situation.

Probably it would need a switch, so it could switch between different isometric orientations per game. I think there's only about two modes most games use though, and many of them have that as a choice in the options screen too.

So yeah, how possible would that be to make? What games would you want to play with one?
