Customs form says it left Italian customs, EMS form only says it left the US
I spend the next days trying to get USPS to look for it, they tell me to wait 18 days
18 days pass and they tell me I have to wait up to 42 more days because the Italians aren't doing shit

No, because I still have to wait 35 or so days before they'll let me file an insurance claim. They won't let me do so until they're sure the package has been lost - or rather, until either the Italians tell them "we lost it" or they go "fuck those assholes, they're not doing shit, here".
Sad story. Knowing Italian post service, the package may arrive in 2 months or simply disappear. The only time I've made and used an insurance for 500 USD, since the item arrived destroyed, they simply said it wasn't possible to get a refund.
That's it, Italian post service sucks.
Every time I buy something I avoid paying more for an insurance. I know that since I begun collecting I've lost 2 packages and 2 arrived broken. That's a risk I'm aware of.
Sadly, I don't think it's a matter of stealing stuff. Who cares about an old NES games without a label... It's a matter of bad organization and people that don't care much about their work.
any way you can remove all your bank information, credit card info, etc. from paypal? that way they cant just take anything from you. I have a feeling your beat though because of whatever claim is linked to the account....

Well, first off, you have to understand that I live an in entirely different continent, so I can't answer your messages right away.
Second, about that "Item not delivered" claim you filed. The money you paid is being held by PayPal. I did not steal your money. It's right there in the account, frozen by PayPal, while the claim is being investigated. In fact, I had to BORROW money to add it to the account so I could continue working on eBay, since it's my ONLY JOB.
Third, do you think I'm HAPPY that the item is lost? NO! You have NO IDEA HOW ANGRY I AM THAT THE ITALIAN POSTAL SERVICE LOST THE ITEM. You know, many people warned me about sending items to Italy. They told me, "It'll get lost", "their postal service is full of thieves", "Express Mail won't help", and they were RIGHT. Don't blame ME. The item ARRIVED in Italy on April 5 according to the customs form, so Poste Italiane LOST IT. Once the package arrived at Italy, it became -their responsibility-. Stop blaming ME. It's THEIR FAULT. This is why I've been asking you to call them, they should still have the package somewhere... unless a postal worker stole it. You should call your local police and your local post office and file a theft claim. A postal worker might have stolen it. I'm pretty sure that's what happened now.
Fourth, you will get your money when PayPal finishes their investigation and decides the claim in your favor. I can't refund the money before that is done. I'm still hoping that the USPS will pressure Poste Italiane into finding the package so it's delivered before the claim ends.
