Default Android/iOS Version of the DP Rarity Guide

This is just idea hunting here, so take these questions with a grain of salt:

Would you like an Android or iOS (iPad, iPod, iPhone) version of the Digital Press Online Rarity Guide?

How much would you pay for that mobile app?

Would you pay more for it if you could access it while offline (out of range of a WiFi or cellular signal)?

Would you like a desktop application that connects directly to the Digital Press O.R.G. to pull prices, rarities, et cetera, without having to go to the DP Web site?

How much would you pay for a desktop app that does that?

Keep in mind, this just a way to see if there is interest, and is no guarantee that any such things will exist in the future. However the more interest (and $$$ willing to be spent) there is, the likelier the odds.

It would be cool to have a desktop and ipod app as long as I don't have to be connected to the internet at all times.

YES! Although the iOS version would be better for me for when I get the iPad 2 soon.

    Probably $9.99 at most.

Would you pay more for it if you could access it while offline (out of range of a WiFi or cellular signal)?
Not really. I would prefer the entire guide to be available offline, in case we are in the need to use it where no wifi, cell signal is present. And if there are updates, make them available for free for minor revisions and for a fee for mayor revisions (like the Collectorz programs).

Offline is best for all situations. If something should occur, like a server error when the price is really needed, then it would kind of defeat the purpose. Having it all fully offline would be best.

How much would you pay for a desktop app that does that?
I would not get a program that is dependent to online servers/resources, specially when needed in emergencies.

I would purchase this if it was available in a heartbeat!

$5 - $10 if worked offline... more if the app could double as a collection manager.

An Android version if the DP Guide would be awesome and I'd definately throw some money at it right away.

I marked both the desktop and Android version, but the droid one will without a doubt be the one I'll use the most on my trips. The desktop version will only be for when I catalog my games at home.

5 or 10 usd is very reasonable for a desktop app or widget; obviously offline is the way to go.

I loved the review compilation that came with the CD ROM of NEXT GENERATION magazine, it was made in Macromedia Director, should be not problem to do with the current software.

$5-10 for an iOS app if I could browse offline. No need for it online since I don't have a data plan. I'd love something to carry around with me while browsing my own collection or out shopping.

Right now I use .txt and .pdf files on a Kindle or iPod. There really isn't a nice app for this kind of stuff yet.

I am willing to pay for rarity guide like others have said. ios for me. Please, Please, if you could incorporate a checklist with the games that could be saved that would be really, really great.

Im on my android as we speak (or type) I think it would be cool to have that as a mobile app. That way if you are out garage selling or at the swap meet you can pull out your phone and check.

I'm in the same boat as many of the above... I'd DL an iPod touch app as soon as it came out. It would be nice to have the entire guide included in the DL, so it would always be readily accessible as wifi is hard to come by out in the wild. And as a couple others mentioned, it would be nice to have some type of management system (owned, wanted, contition, etc.)

I'd pay 10$ for just the full guide if it could be accessed offline. 15$+ if it was robust enough to include a collection management system.

Thanks for your feedback, Mattiekrome. And the good news is, we have already started a fundraiser to make this happen! Everyone who is interested can find out more at our project's page and can discuss the app in this thread. Awesome sauce!
