I'd like to... but being Canadian... it's hard to win anything without paying ungodly amounts

However I just recently checked out EB Games and they have some sweet prices on DC games... 4.99-12.99.... even after the converion that's sweet

I bought my DC and games when Wal-Mart was clearing out the DC inventory to make room for other stuff since the DC was abandoned
I got the system, controller, VMU, sonic 1, sonic shuffle, and web browser for 90 bucks
and VF 3tb, Dynamite Cop, Centipede, Power Stone, MK Gold, Blue Stinger for 10 bucks each

Sonic Adventure was way better than Sonic Adventure 2, you should switch that.

    Tennis 2K2
    Typing of the Dead
No, no, no, no, no. I disagree with your list almost completely! The Dreamcast was best at arcade ports and driving games. I'll give you Soul Calibur, Tennis 2K2, Marvel vs Capcom 2, and House 2, but you've left off

    Virtual On Oratorio Tangram
    Virtua Fighter 3tb
    Space Channel 5
    Space Channel 5 part 2
    Metropolitan Street Racer
    Tokyo Extreme Racer
    Daytona USA
    Ferrari F355
    Rez
    Power Smash
Crazy Taxi (the original is better than the sequel)
    Hydro Thunder
Sega Rally 2, warts and all
    San Francisco Rush 2049
    Atari Anniversary
    Guilty Gear X

    Now THAT's a list!

    Default Hmmmm.....

One thing I've noticed, is that pretty much EVERYONE agrees that Soul Calibur is the or one the best games for DC!!! I love that game, and I also think NFL 2K2 was much better than 2k or 2k1 !! So I guess overall Soul Calibur takes the cake as best Dreamcast game by majority vote!!!

Soul Calibur has such a nice, clean design, both in terms of gameplay and graphics. It doesn't try to push the hardware too hard, but finds a perfect spot for displaying the graphics -- and it looks great, even after 4 years.

That's the mark of a great game!

I haven't played Sonic Adventure 2, so I can't comment on that one.

Am I the only person thinking Crazy Taxi doesn't have and needs a real sequal? CT2 and CT3 simply can't compare with the first Crazy Taxi, the first game has the best scenery and coolest cab drivers compare to driving in the desert and concrete jungle (that's all I call NY) with old grandma as a cabbie, yuk!

I really would like to see Crazy Taxi with San Francisco expanded (or simply combined the 2 modes into a large area), put more features in the cabs, and retain the same drivers.

That's cool, I liked the game too but top 20? It's got some tough competition in there! What game would you drop to make room for it on the list?

IMO Virtual-On: Oratorio Tangram should make the top 20

I don't know about top 20, but another I truly have fun playing is Heavy Metal Geomatrix--good music, and fast and fun action!!
    DC--- It's STILL thinking....!!

I have to make a solitary vote for Seaman.
No one else will ever dare to do something like this ever again...

and you HAVE to have Samba on the list!

I would also like to see Capcom vs SNK
    Street Fighter 3 third strike

    replacing:

    Quake 3
    House of the Dead 2
    NBA 2K2
    Marvel vs. Capcom 2

also, NCAA 2K2 replacing NFL 2K2
and Crazy Taxi 1 replacing Crazy taxi 2

I definitely agree with your ins, but not your outs! How could you place CvS over MvC2. MvC2 is easily one of the top 3 games for the DC. There is endless replay value. Finding all of the infinites, all glitches, and getting 300+ plus points. How could you place that over CvS?

Also i recommend putting in SFA3

I have to say, IMO, DC was the 2D fighter fans' dream system. So Capcom vs. SNK (greatest fighter ever, IMO), SFIII - Third Strike, and SFA3 all need to be on the list, along with Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
Looking to buy: Galerians disc 2 (PSX) and The Unholy War case/manual (PSX). PM me!

Want me to come out of left field? OK, I will.

    Swirl. In.

    Chu Chu Rocket. Out.

Replace the Tennis 2K2 with just Tennis.

Swirl? I know, I know. But it's a guilty pleasure. Ever play Swirl 4 player? Silly, silly fun. Loved it. And... Price was right - free. Came with every demo disk, every web browser disc.

If you count the browser discs "as a whole", think about how unique they were. No other manufacturer has included a web browser with their system, and since they're still functional (people still browse to Fatman Games with the Dreamcast! 142 hits this month, on a game system!).... It deserves at least a mention. Sega was always pushing the edge like that (including with the Saturn). Granted, not the first system on-line, but the first workable, solid approach.

And to heck with graphics, Swirl was fun!

What no Bangai-O yet? Methinks the list need be expanded. It is hard for me to think of personal top 20 but top 30 maybe. At any rate Bangai-O in Crazy Taxi out. The comment about the controller awkwardness is well taken, but a few judicious switches make it much smoother. Ok I've never liked Crazy Taxi, but to exclude Bangai-O and Samba Di Amigo is pushing it. Anything with a specialized controller has to make a best of list on principal alone. Ok anybody for a top 21 list?

Bangai-O is great, and Crazy Taxi is fun, but gets old quick. But keep Chu Chu Rocket, easily one of the best party games on the system. I would go for a top 25 list.
