I don't usually see these in the wild:

    Atari XEGS with keyboard
    +
    Hardball
    Bug Hunt
    Flight Sim 2
    Barnyard Blaster
    Food Fight
    Ace of Aces
    Blue Max
    Rescue On Fractalus

Works great. Tested the ram, all good, nice clean unit - only $9.99 for everything at Value Village.

Was finally able to put my hands on one of my grails.

The games are Street Fighter 2 Turbo and Warriors of Fate.

I again found myself driving my mom down to visit a friend in Waco today, so I ended up going seriously out of my way on the way back and hit some thrift stores and retro game stores.

Now that I've stopped ignoring SNES games in the wild the few times I come across them, I'm finding them all the time. Two of those PS1 memory cards seem to be all Japanese on the backs, so I'd say they were imports. The Sega Master System 3D glasses were bought at a Console Game Exchange in Temple for $17.95, the Dreamcast joystick/trackball combo was $6.95 at the FX Game Exchange in Waco, and the Sega titles all came from a Games N' Things store also in Waco. Man, I spent a lot of time in a car searching for thrifts that went out of business years ago but Google Maps hasn't been updated with that info. And searching took so long that all the thrifts I knew were still there were closed by the time I got to them. Ah well, I'll just have to hit them when I drive back and pick my mom up.

What DreamCast games use the trackball? I know a guy who has (I think) that same joystick for PC, which he absolutely swears by to play UT99 with, and I never knew about a DC version until I saw that.

Got myself quite the haul today NES with 2 controllers and zap gun along with 69 games $65. So I have more of a NES collection then my SNES collection without even trying.

This one didn't have the box, but earlier in the day another game store had a boxed one and it said only Quake III, Unreal Tournament, Starlancer, and one other I can't recall were compatible. It's one of the reasons I didn't buy it back in the day, since it only works with four games.

Picked these up from a local Video place that's closing:
Ride was 20(I still think I over paid)
    Wanted was 10
    Wet was 12.50
    Split Second was 12.50
Finally the Blu-Rays were 17 for all of them.

Has Ride hit rock bottom yet or was that $20 an isolated incident? I think most places have it down to $60.

Bullshit. I've got NUMEROUS Capcom games that are sealed this way now and bought numerous PS games new at release that were also sealed this way.

That one was at a closing store Port, i've still yet to see it below 90. None of my Targets/GS's have dropped it down yet.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

I've seen them on sale the past couple weeks at Fred Meyer for 47.99, pretty sure they are trying to clear up space as they also had DJ Hero markdowned to $40

At my church's thrift, I got Risk Global Domination (PS2) for $4.

Went to GameStop to reserve FFXIV CE, and found a few gems in the PS2 bargain bin, all complete and in good shape...

    Xenosaga Episode II - $3.99
    The Bouncer - $2.99
    Armored Core 2 - $2.99

I got into a conversation with the clerk when I asked if they by chance had an MGS Peace Walker CE left. Of course they didn't, but they had an extra bandana, which she let me have. Then I didn't have my up-to-date Edge card, so she had to look it up. By the time my purchase was entered, it wasn't quite right. I overpaid a bit, but I guess that covers the bandana...

    Here's how it rung up:
    Xenosaga Episode II - $3.59
    The Bouncer - $2.69
    Xenosaga Episode II - $3.59
    The Bouncer - $2.69

$3.74 for the bandana after tax, I suppose. I can live with that.

At my Gamestop they had a bunch of PS2 games for $2 each on their counter. They were all discs, but they guy got some of the boxes for me, which was cool. Most were sports games, but there was definitely some good grabs in there:

    XIII (no box)
    Smuggler's Run (complete)
    Mad Maestro! (no box)
    Dr Muto (complete)

And don't bring up that stupid girlie Aladdin rip off! Shantea?

Nice find today at a local record/game shop

$15. a little under $10 with 6 dollars of in-store credit. It's missing the manual, guess I'll have to snag one online.

PS1 multi-tap is mint on the inside ($2), picked up Castlevania Adventure for the hell of it ($1)

I was surprised that it was down to 40 and then it was 50% off because they were closing. 40 is the lowest that I've seen it.

Yeah, I can't speak for the rest of the country but they are closing all of them in Edmonton.

So last Tuesday, me and the majority of my family (my sisters, their children, and my brother in law - all visiting from Tennessee) went to go see my father, who is in El Cajon in a nursing home / hospital. After we saw him, we went to eat, and I went to the Hollywood Video that was closing across the street. I picked up the following items after a while:

Superhero, Castle Freak, Slaughter Studios, GameBox 1.0
Jigsaw, The Dark Half, Jack Brooks Monster Slayer, Chupacabra Terror

    Chupacabra, Bloodstorm, Man-Thing
Bite Me!, Doll Graveyard, Masters of Horror: The Black Cat (with JEFFERY FUCKING COMBS)
Warhammer Online 60 day time card (old Gamecrazy stock, sealed)

3x Generation Nex Wireless pad sets, brand new

All for a total of $21 and change. Most of the movies are in -horrible- shape. I figure I can at least copy them to my computer and make backup DVD-Rs or something... for most.

I saw people take hundreds of movies out. The poor store was almost empty by the time I got there, but I still managed to get a bunch of decent (and not so decent, aheh) flicks. I love schlocky horror, what can I say. The pads are actually still sealed and will go up on eBay eventually (unless someone wants to buy them.) According to my sister, some guy had like $150 worth of DVDs... and he was still getting crap. If only I'd gotten there sooner...

    Today's finds:

The Simpsons CD was $1, unfortunately my eyes failed me and I didn't notice the huge circular scratch in the middle of it. So it won't rip right. The other CDs were $5 total. I'm happy to finally have a working copy of Bat Out Of Hell II: Bat Harder (my older one didn't rip right.) The Illustrator 9 Upgrade was $2.

In other news, I bought new shoes. But they suck because my favorite shoes aren't being made anymore. Boo to you, Payless Shoe Source!
