How is Aliens vs Predator 2?

I was wondering how good game is this game? I picked this up at a garage sale for $4. I haven't played the new game that recently game out and was wondering how it compared? I know the graphics will be quite dated, but how's the gameplay?

i used to play this game all the time online and it's a lot of fun! I haven't tried the new one yet but from memory it sounds like the second and first were much better liked than the latest avp. I played this game online long after it came out and there were still many people playing so i wouldn't be surprised if you could still find servers out there.

Even though Sierra shut the master list down a few years ago, you can still play AvP2 online. Go to http://www.moddb.com/mods/avp2-project-savior to download the Savior mod, which is a community run master list replacement.

A good rule of thumb is to download all the updates for AvP2 before installing the Savior mod. Visit http://aliensvspredator2.filefront.c...es/Patches;191 and grab AvP2 Update 1.0.9.6, Single-Player Map Update #1 and Multiplayer Map Update #1.

Unfortunately, the community has yet to get Primal Hunt working online. I haven't checked in on the AvP2 community in some time, so reasons are currently unknown to me. It might be due to Primal Hunt using a different security method, but don't quote me on that.
