I'm having problems loading the thing.
It loads and I can see the camera moving about the room. I downloaded both extra packs as well. Yet it freezes at 25%.
Any ideas?

Proud owner of a Neo 25 Neo Geo Candy Cab!
I had that happen to me last time i used it as well.
And don't bring up that stupid girlie Aladdin rip off! Shantea?
I'm hugely disappointed in Game Room. I was psyched when MS announced it, but the presentation and selection are massive letdowns for me at least. I also can't bring myself to waste a few dollars on games I can play for free, in versions as well emulated (if not better), elsewhere. After walking around looking at the mostly-lame selection, I spent a few minutes attempting to play Intellivision Football, then gave up and turned it off...
Barring some really A-grade titles that might get people interested, I think we'll find in time that MS really botched this concept. They are going to have very few takers on some of these games (good luck finding people willing to pay $3 on "Realsports Tennis"), and will have to ultimately bargain-price a package to sell them. We'll see if anyone still cares by then...and with the next group of games not coming for another month (!), I bet interest will wane quickly.

I know what you're saying and I agree that it's easier and probably more arcade perfect, but Scramble, at least, is available on Konami Collector's Series: Arcade Advanced for the GBA, Konami Arcade Classics for PS, and Konami Classics Series: Arcade Hits for DS. Just in case anyone is interested in tracking those down.

Also disappointed in the presentation, so far.
The layout is not intuitive.
I have to adjust the screen sizes for each game to make it fit properly on my screen.
The Arcade cabinet view doesn't always include the proper screen overlay or background (Asteroids Deluxe, for example, doesn't have the 3D asteroid detail that the cabinet included).
There were glitches in the rooms.
Some of the emulations (reprograms?) didn't play smoothly (Astrosmash was jittery, while my copy of Intellivision Lives Astrosmash plays smoothly) or accurately.
It IS a microstransacdtion nightmare. The initial selection of games is a bit odd at times, but there isn't a whole lot there encouraging me to put a room together, either with games or fluff. Where are the wall decorations, choice of music for the room, memorabilia, etc. Hell, there isn't even a dollar changing machine to throw in a corner. It says it wants to be a personalization experience, but there isn't much there to personlize.
I won't get into pricing, as that argument can go either way, but I didn't see much there that I want to spend money on.
And can we do anything about getting friends to meet and socialize in someone's arcade? That was half the fun of going to a real arcade when I was a kid. (this was when the earth had cooled, but before Journey broke up.)
I hope it improves, as I was looking forward to this feature, but I'm not compelled to go back to it right away.
If the game selection was better I would be much more into it. But seeing as I only collect games from the Nes to the present, all those arcade/Atari/Intellivision games do nothing for me.

I banked a lot of time into this when it debuted, now I just want some more initiative to go back. With the right kind of support and licenses from other arcade giants like Sega and Taito, this could really grow into something great.
"Enduro" is a symbolic journey through life via the media of a race.
I've heard this round is supposed to be Activision titles. Hopefully that includes Intellivision releases and not just their 2600 titles.

I am pretty happy with it so far. It obviously has amazing potential.
Based on a Retronauts podcast from a while ago they also mentioned the seven games per week and a goal of a thousand titles in three years.
I can't wait until they get to more late eighties titles.
The first batch of seven
Game Room - April 28, prices range from $0.50 to $5
Super Breakout (Atari)
Pitfall! (Activision)
Megamania (Activision)
Night Stalker (Mattel Electronics)
Rack 'Em Up (Konami)
Realsports Volleyball (Atari)
Basketball (Atari)

I'm happy to see the Activision stuff - I wants me some River Raid!
(Not that I can't play it on my 7800 in the basement )

Time will be when the broadest river dries
And the great cities wane and last descend
Into the dust, for all things have an end
Give me Seaquest or give me death!
Hell Yeah, I'll be all over megamania next week
All games delayed until further notice.

This whole service, IMO, has been nothing short of a disaster from selection to implementation.
No, they need to hire me, or pretty much any other gamer on this forum as lead project manager/designer to make a decent game room replacement. Any of us could have done an infinitely better job designing a game room. Seriously, I could write a 20 page thesis on what is wrong with it, and what should have been done differently. Microsoft is making a smart moving "delaying" this. They're going to try and slowly sweep this under the carpet like it never happened. If you are out there stealing ideas from forums, try stealing one me to deliver you a good product.
They did such a good job with the 1 vs 100 thing, making it a beta and ironing out kinks and whatnot, and for this it does seem like they've done the exact opposite.
Does it make sense that they could've opened it up and put everything on free play for awhile in beta and ironed out the kinks for as long as they wanted to, and then announced it was gold and free play was off?
I'm definitely disappointed. But I'll admit that if/when they get it running properly I'll forgot about the initial disappointments.
