So is UFO Super Bowling (with a box and manual) this rare? It's the only CIB auction that shows up on ebay. $227, and it's not even sealed.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Super-Bowling-Ni...item33691b7fdc

I have one myself. I actually had the chance to get two, but it was $14 and I meandered around long enough and the store closed. Had I known, I would have bought the second one.

EDIT: The bid history looks pretty legit- I may throw up my copy and see what happens. That's a lot of money.

In my past experience (5+ years ago) the cart for Sculptor's Cut was more common than a handful of other carts, however the box for it was definitely the hardest to find on the system.

How rare are the rental only games other than Razor? Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine doesn't seem to go for sky-high prices on ebay

I used to see Indiana Jones around a lot, seems to be an easier to find rental game in this area at least.

I've come across most of the rental games at least once in the wild, the only ones I haven't found are Sculptor's Cut and Blitz SE.
And don't bring up that stupid girlie Aladdin rip off! Shantea?

Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine is a bit easier to find because it was sold via the Lucasarts website as well.

I don't know but I took pictures today, and I'm gonna put it on eBay tonight. I don't expect the $227 the last one sold for, but I'm thinking positive thoughts.

I finally just found a copy of Worms last month. The one I NEVER see in the wild, nor has my friend who owns a game store in Whitewater, is Starcraft 64. I mean I've seen it when it was new, but it just never turns up for me.

That's incredible. I purchased a mint copy of that game off ebay only 4 years ago for 6.50. Even came with a plastic case. It's a late release and pretty primitive looking for a late release, but pretty fun and unique none the less. I assumed prices were in the 30 dollar range.

Last I knew factory sealed copies of Razor have show up on ebay all the time. Usually from Canada.

FYI Here is a list of all rental only titles on the N64:

Stunt Racer 64-Midway chose to release this one to avoid direct competition with its other racer, Rush 2049
Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine-Also sold on Lucasarts.com. Same story as Midway. Lucasarts didn't want to detract sales from Star Wars: Battle for Naboo
Razor Freestyle Scooter-Released same month as Blitz: Special Edition. Blockbuster Exclusive symbol on front of the box.
Hercules:The Legendary Journeys-Initially rental only, though I'm fairly certain it later received a retail release.
Transformers: Transmetals-Initially a blockbuster exclusive. Blockbuster copies will have a "Blockbuster Exclusive" symbol on the box.
International Track and Field 2000-Does anyone remember seeing this one sold in stores? It's definitely one of the harder N64 games to find complete. Glad I bought a mint copy off here for 20 5 years ago. Thanks Qixmaster!
Clay Fighter Sculpters Cut-Pretty much the same game as 63 1/3 but with a few bonus characters.
ISS 2000-Sources say that this was a rental exclusive, but I've seen new copies for sale on the internet.
NFL Blitz Special Edition- One of the last 5 N64 games released. Nothing more than NFL Blitz 2001 with an updated roster. Still the same great game though. I haven't kept tracks on the rarity or value of this one. I purchased a mint copy from Blockbuster back in 2004 for 10.
Daikatana-Initially rental only but likely saw a retail release.
Duck Dodgers-Rental release during the slow summer months of 2000. Later sold in stores. Fun game.

    I think that's all.

Yeah when I looked late last year, that was the range. I only found out about this because I was browsing "completed" N64 game auctions to find out what stuff has been going for lately.

Clay Fighter is the rarest. I would say Stunt Racer is a distant second.

A few years ago I would of said ISS 2000 but they are everywhere now.

My what a difference 18 months makes. I have a fully CIB collection now and have discovered quite a few sleepers and have new opinions on rarity.

On a cart perspective, nothing is rare IMO. Pretty much every single cart is always readily available on Amazon or eBay if you pay a BIN. So it's silly to talk about rarities on a cart basis.

So we'll assume CIB only (or even sealed).

ISS 2000 is overrated. The version with Spanish text on the back of the box is garbage. I used to think the version with English text on the back would command quite a premium. However, I believe this copy is indistinguishable from the Brazilian version... cart has same code, box looks exactly the same in English, manual appears to be the same. So ISS 2000 is only locally rare to North America, and copies will inevitably trickle up.

Sculptor's Cut... the clear capstone. I sold a CIB for a pretty ridiculous amount privately last month and there's a ton of demand for it.

Super Bowling. Yeah it's legit. I don't think $227 legit, but it's rarer than a Worms Armageddon and probably even Bomberman's 2nd Attack. However, there needs to be demand to go with the rarity, and demand isn't quite there yet (but maybe it is now?)

Stunt Racer / Transformers. Both are interchangeable and both are pretty rare. I expect Mint copies to fetch a premium in the future since most will likely be worn due to being rentals.

Indiana Jones - Lot of hype. It's the coldest title on N64 right now, no question. Prices are probably half of what they were a year ago as a CIB. It's definitely uncommon, but I've seen far too many of them for it to be rare. They've popped up everywhere lately.

Just my .02 from someone who collect(ed) N64 with a passion.

Also, the winner of that Super Bowling is located in Australia. So if you aren't shipping internationally, it may sell for considerably less than $227. IMO, it's more like a $100 game.

Didn't look that close at where the buyer was... but I wonder if all the higher bidders were international? Mine's up now, so we'll see what the tolerance is for two copies so close together. I'd really like to hold on to it for a while longer, but I just can't right now.

Also, I meant "rare" only in a comparative context in relation to other N64 titles. I didn't mean rare overall- like it takes years to rack down "rare".

I've seen most of these "in the wild" depending on your definition (do game stores count?), but the only one I would say was really "in the wild" was Worms Armageddon which I bought from a Goodwill for $5. I've yet to see ISSS or that Bowling game tho.

The game is just called Super Bowling. UFO is the publisher. Just throwing that out there in case that's causing confusion.

I hadn't heard of the game before.
Didn't even know UFO published an N64 game, I thought they old existed in the current generation.

I'd just like to say that it blew my fucking mind seeing Bomberman Second Attack ending for $282 when I have a mint complete copy sitting on my shelf that I don't even know where it came from. What the hell is going on here.

Maybe I should have thrown mine on the Bay, and not sold it here. $95 still was still a good price for Second Attack. Since when did people start giving a shit about N64 titles?
