    Default Weekend Finds 6/13-6/15

I'll start this off cause the pawn shop gods like me today:

Nice 8 port surge protector $15 Cdn

2 (count em 2!) Namco Arcade Sticks for PSX! $20 Cdn ($15 US) each!!!!

Those sticks are quite possibly the sturdiest stick I've EVER seen for a console arcade stick! I was stunned!

    Saturday's finds:

Genesis (model 1) 4 controllers, 5 sports games, Road Rash 2, and Sonic, all hookups $10 Cdn

Game Gear system (MINT in original box) with carry case, Super Columns, Sonic Blast $20 Cdn

    SNES Controllers x 2 $1.00 Cdn each

    Yay!

I don't think I've gotten any games for at least a week (!) but I have gotten a few books and the latest arrived yesterday:

Zap! The Rise and Fall of Atari

For some reason, I thought this would be in paperback but it turns out to be a quite nice hardcover editiion...

Hit the pawns today and scored a few deals:

    Castlevania: SOTN (non-GH version) $8
    Ehrgeiz $8
Saga Frontier, GTA2, Parasite Eve strategy guides $2 each

Also picked up a Coleco tabletop Froger and 2600 "Ram It" cart for $2.50 total earlier in the week. Nothing big, but I was happy with the haul.

Today I went to various garage sales...(late comer)

I missed out on a N64 with games for $15.00..(I knew the girl)

    But I got ..

Launch version PS (working, complete for $5.00

42 NES carts..some were in a Super NES cart holder/drawer.. the front looks like a big SNES cart....Some of the games I didn't even own.(Sweet).and they are all mint with NES sleeves..
    $10.00 for all that.

I found another garge sale with a bunch of computer games..
On a table was around 30 SNES carts..
The kid wanted $2.00 each and his dad kept saying $5.00 each..
So while they argued I grabbed 7 carts and gave him $14.00 and left.

I had most of the ones he had....but I picked up..

    Super Mario Kart
    Chuck Rock
    Mega Man X
    Turtles IV
    Donkey Kong Country 2
    TMNT Tournament Fighters
    Super Pinball: Behind The Mask

I was almost gonna go back and try and buy the whole lot but his father was really giving it to him...(arguing)...so I stayed away.

I took a late ride to the flea market..As I got they were packing up..
I did a quick search and didn't find anything that I really wanted.
As I was leaving a vendor who I know called me over..

He gave me a Commodore 128 and Commodore 1571 disc drive..both boxed with all parts, books, dics etc...This stuff looks unused..
He gave me this stuff For "Free"..............I pooped myself....my lucky day.

I'm wondering what can I do with this system..I want to keep it for my collection but does this PC play games..carts..?

    All Dreamcast:
    Virtual On: OT - 10
Star Wars Jedi Power battles - 10
Power Stone 2 ("new") - 15 (Gamestop has this labeled as new, but once the reshrink was off, it was so obviously a used copy - you could still feel the sticker from the first store that tried to sell it already used, and the manual was not nearly in mint. Since Gamestop is stupid, though, and their "new" price for PS2 is less than their used by 15 bucks, I won't complain. I had the same thing happen with Spiderman for 64 there - 19 bucks new, with a 39 dollar used cart of the same game in the next case. Wierd policy, that).
    NCAA 2k2 - 5
    Showtime - 3
Demo Racer: No Exit - 9
    Namco Museum - 5
And 5 new DC games from Joe for 30.

    Good stuff.

Well it's not really a PC... just a C64 with 128K memory instead

But you got a damn good deal there... and discs/carts shouldn't be too hard to find. Least you got all the manuals, so figuring how to set it up and use it shouldn't be too bad... I hope
