Default Does anyone remember Magical Truck Adventure?

At my local chuck e cheese a few years back there was this great game called Magical Truck Adventure which i LOVED. I wish i could go back and play it again, but they took it out and replaced it with Jurassic Park. Anyone else play this? It's a 1998 SEGA game.

Also, if possible, can someone help me locate a MAME ROM for it >_> <_< please

I doubt a MAME Rom would be much fun...considering the whole game was based around the unique controller. That game was a real workout. We used to have it in the arcade area of COSI...when we had an arcade (aka the good old days)

So you're basically running straight forward...with your hands? What does the floor pedal do?

Gotta give Sega props for basing an arcade game off the classic cartoon railroad scene staple though.

That game seems like it would be pretty boring to me. I'd rather ride a real minecart, any day of the week.

You have to pump the handle up and down in rhythm to get the cart moving, and then at various times stuff would fly at you, then you'd stomp on the foot pedal and the car would tip up onto two wheels to avoid the hazard.

It actually was a heck of a fun game, although if you fully completed the game, you'd only need about 15 minutes. But 15 minutes of THAT game was so SO tough. I know I never beat the game, but I did get close.

the farthest i ever got was either the water level or safari level (i dont know which was farther) but yeah, a MAME rom would be appreciated, as i'll probably never see this game in the bolts again

MAWS doesn't have any info about a ROM for this game, so I am guessing it doesn't exist.

I think it was just added (and is yet to be supported) as it is listed as not working at the bottom of the newest MAME update. http://mamedev.org/updates/whatsnew_0132u3.txt

I've played this a while ago in a Chuck E Cheese near me, tough ass game, pumping that mine cart handle up and down is hard work.
<skaar> Sega is like Marilyn Monroe would be if she was still alive but at one point went completely bankrupt and started making skin flicks.
