Default Good place to order microswitches from?

The microswitches in my Pop'n Music arcade style controller are going bad and need to be replaced. Never replaced them before so I don't really know what I'm doing but it doesn't look too complicated. Just trying to find a good place to order them from. Is there a reputable arcade parts website I should go to that everyone orders from?

I'm going to need at least 9 microswitches but I should probably get a few extra for good luck. I'm told Omron's are the best but expensive.

Mouser.com is my source of choice. No minimum order and has a 3 1/2" thick catalog.

Thanks a lot for the links! Question though....the microswitches inside my controller are Cherry D44L-R1AA's (10a 125/250). Do I have to use these same ones or can I replace them with different (cheaper) microswitch? I figure I can but I'm not sure which ones would work.

I normally order all my parts from Happ Controls, but they are also local to me so easier to get to. They definitely have some Cherry Microswitches just like you are looking for.

Yeah, I was actually looking at those but I wasn't sure if they'd work with my controller. Would those 10A D44's work? There's one with a .187" terminal and one with a .250" terminal but I'm not sure which one I need or what exactly that means.

    FUUUUUUUUUU......$25 minimum order at Happ.

I know what you mean. My step-son ordered a power supply from them so that we could consolize an MVS board that I bought. It was only $24.95 so he bought some LEDs to bring the order above $25.

As far as the different terminals, the number should be the width of the metal contacts. The .250 is 1/4 inch and the .187 should be 3/16 inch, (if my mental math is working). So just measure your old one and order accordingly.

Thanks a lot for all the info guys. I think I'm going to order from that Bob Roberts guy. He has 10 Cherry's for $9 + $7 for Priority ship with no minimum purchase. I'm going to buy from him unless anyone knows of a better source.

I have delt with Chad on the phone and through emails and he is always

For any Happs stuff, it's a better idea to register at arcadecontrols.com and send Divemaster a PM, he's always in the buy/sell/trade forum and carries most all Happs stuff. They're not to interested in the small-fry hobbyist market.

Groovygamegear is good too, in fact all the other suggestions are.

Thanks again for the suggestions. I ended up getting 9 new Cherry's for $11 shipped from someone on a Bemani forum. Put them in yesterday and now my Pop'N Music controller plays like new again.

Now that my ASC is finally fixed after 2 years, I'm probably going to sell it and get a DJ Dao :

I second Lizard Lick. I just got 8 microswitches from them for just over $9 shipped (actually, they charged $12, then refunded me $3). You can get most of the common stuff you'd order from HAPP, for much less.
