Sounds like a good deal but I'm a bit confused about these drums. Are the drums that came in Rock Band 2 bundle any different than the ones that came with the RB1 bundle? I heard about the cymbals expansion but I'm not sure if those can be used on both versions or just on the newer sets.

This is the older set, which in my eyes, isn't worth anything anymore. Maybe a cheap replacement for a broken set, but there isn't a reason(outside of budget concerns) why anyone should be using these over the newer set.

RB2 sets are quieter and more sensitive, and wireless. Cymbals are newer sets only, since they have plugs for them.
RIP bargora, you will be greatly missed. That is how we do things on Giedion Prime.

Here is the differences I have seen in the 2 sets. Some have been covered (quieter, wireless).

Now a huge difference is the cymbal expansion. You can tell they modeled the rb2 drums for some type of expansion, because on the back of the drums, there are some extra ports to plug stuff into (3 for what we are now finiding out is the cymbals).

There is another port underneath the port where you plug the drums into as well, but I have no clue what that is for.

Yeah, the rb2 drumset was build for stuff to be expanded on it.
