im looking at buying a converter to use my ps2 controller on the xbox,, but i have a few questions about it

what buttons would i use for the black and white buttons and the triggers?,

and does it map automatically and could i use stuff like guns and steering wheels?,, if anyone has ever tried one of these could someone give me some more advice on it please... thanks

I am not positive on this but with the 360 the bumpers are used for the black & white buttons and the triggers are the same, so I think that with the PS2 controller, R1 and L1 would be the black & white bumpers and R2 and L2 would be the triggers.

I used to have a set of them, the black and white are L1 and R1 and they do map automatically with no option to adjust.

Man do I love those converters. My friend would always say he could beat me at Madden if we were playing on a PS2. So he did the next best thing and bought a converter. Not sure how he knew which receiver was which, but he still whooped my ass.
Play in the RR Arcade, I need some competition!

i bought a pair of them for $5 or so from a surplus store and they support wheels as well as game pads.
The ones I have also also connect to GameCube, although non-analog pads aren't supported for GC.
The best part (for me, anyway) is that these particular adaptors work on my PC and mac with no drivers, although I do have to use another adaptor to connect the xbox cable to standard usb.
So I get to use my PS2 pads on GC, XBOX, and PC, and PS1 pads on XBOX and PC with just one type of converter.
If there was anything other than 'made in China' on the casing, I could tell you the make and model, but there isn't.

I wish the reverse (use Xbox controllers on a PS2) existed.

Somehow, I don't think the OP meant Xbox 360. I think he meant Xbox.
Currently playing: Fallout 3 and Namco Museum Virtual Arcade (both 360)
