Was there ever a non-greatest hits "Namco Museum 50th Anniversary" for PS2? I remember it releasing immediately as a greatest hit (because of so many pre-orders or some stupid shit). I don't remember anyone ever mentioning finding a "regular" PS2 edition (like the GC and Xbox got).

Gradius III & IV is a port of the arcade games. Are we talking domestic only, or imports? There's the Gunbird collection, and the Sengoku Ace / Sengoku Blade collection from Psikyo in Japan. (And I think the Gunbird collection was released in England?) And on the Neo Geo forums they've mentioned something about a Sengoku 1,2&3 collection that's coming out soon. I think it's only scheduled for Japan so far.
Oh, and we're not talking about single game ports like Raiden III or Shikigami no Shiro (Mobile Light Force 2) etc, right?
Those are good questions, XYXYZ. Let's make this list US NTSC only. Now, the other question is how many games should a disc have on it to make it a "compilation?" Do you think Gradius III&IV should count?
gradius iii and iv should count, it was two games on one disc, and at least gradius iii was 10 years old when the disc was released
There's also:
Street Fighter Alpha Anthology
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection
Oh yeah and:
King of Fighters 2000/ King of Fighters 2001
King of Fighters 2002/ King of Fighters 2003
Updated, thanks for the replies!
Since Gradius III & IV is on the list, you might as well add Metal Slug 4/5 (which pretty much became obsolete after the release of Metal Slug Anthology, but yeah).
EDIT: Another one that's missing is Art of Fighting Anthology.
