You should try setting up the wii to play the version of Warlords that's in Boom Blox. We were crying for a Warlords retro update during a previous NAVA.
Might be a nice, mindless diversion before the brawling begins.

YAY! Brawl will be set up! Now my friends won't keep asking me if it's gonna be set up or not!
Just got a email from Mr. Rolfe and something EPIC is gonna happen. You can only find out if you go to this month's NAVA!
come to think of it your right, indy is a bitch to play with going from screen to screen then back to the screen you just came from only to find it's different. now if you have the book like myself there's a lot of helpful items in there to explain it a lil more.
mike
ps. i will be there after work
sigh , i won't be making it to this NAVA ,considering that big crowds make me itchy...... but i'm pretty sure lucid and scrimble will be in attendance
If anyone has a slim Neo-Geo Pocket Color(Color will be written in more of a handwriting font, vs a bold font on the screen), I'm looking to purchase one. Clearly, I'd be looking for games as well.
Also looking for an excellent condition Intellivision; it doesn't need the box, but I'd like the controllers and condition of the unit to be excellent, as I'm looking to have one A/V modded.
Thanks!

I have something scheduled for tomorrow evening, but I might stop by earlier in the day. What time will James the Angry Video Game Nerd be at the store?
EDIT:
I just read that blog entry. Supposedly, James will be there all day, starting around noon. Thanks for the link!

As long as we're doing wanted requests :
Does anybody have a complete copy of Cooking Mama for the Wii that they'd be willing to part with at a reasonable price/for a reasonable trade?
If so respond here or drop me a PM before Saturday. Thanks.

The 6pm Starcade event will be a lot of fun. The Angry Video Game Nerd, Captain S, and our Digital Press representative "Mike" have chosen their arcade games of choice. I picked two others that will suit all three. One of the prizes is John Hardie's mortal soul which has been sealed inside of a Pokemon figure.
Hopefully our internal body count won't lock anyone out who really wants to see this, but I do believe it will be videotaped. Last fall's game show is on our YouTube page, we'll do the same again if it is taped.
Medieval Mayhem is an amazing re-make of Warlords for the 2600. The game is easily the best version. Here's a link:You should try setting up the wii to play the version of Warlords that's in Boom Blox. We were crying for a Warlords retro update during a previous NAVA.

Lis and I will be there sometime after 1 or 2 with some epic confectionary commemorating the occasion.
After it's unveiled, please withhold any immediate desire to "blow into it". It's already been fully cleaned, tested and baked.

i am bringing my vid cam and photo cam with tripod. i have an account (my username is scir91) on youtube which showcases videogames amongst other stuff. i want to make a small documentary about this event. i also want to meet the nerd! this guy is very talented! hopefully promoting this sucker on youtube and other sharing sites will raise awareness and it will become a larger scene every year.
anyhow, i would like to know if i can take public transportation to this event. i am in manhattan. it seems as if i should be able to. is anyone coming from manhattan? maybe we can meet up and go together. if you are coming from a borough (queens, brooklyn, bronx), we can meet up and i can pay half for gas. it will save us both money.
Why I was at NAVA for about an hour
Warning: This is more of a cautionary rant for kids, so it is simplistic for a reason.

Have fun guys, hope the gaming comps go well.
Chet: It's futuristic, but that's a crate.
NAVA was awesome. Can't really say much more than that.![]()
What an OUTSTANDING day, in every possible way. If you sat home yesterday when you could have been there, you really missed a fun-packed day. My only regret is that there aren't enough hours in a day.
Photos and a little commentary are available now:

I've got one or two short video clips to add, but there were a LOT of cameras and the entire game show was recorded by Frankie, so there will be plenty to see in the upcoming days.

Anyways, I must say this was a great NAVA, coldguy I got your Genesis signed and all, the only person that didn't sign it was Doug, I'm sorry man but you can ask Joe, Nick, Frankie, and all who visited the event, he just left without saying goodbye. Nick and I told him that he has to sign something downstairs though, but before we know it he was gone.
It was great meeting more DP regulars, I met Sal when we were playing Brawl, met the awesome guys from PBC again, and my friend was selling a BRAND NEW Xbox 360 for only $150! That's an amazing deal. It was so amazing that Devon Riley from PBC and thier intern Albatross battled out in Brawl just to see who can buy the 360! Devon won but for some odd reason he stated that 'The loser gets the 360'. So Josh (Albatross) managed to get it.My friends and the crew from ScrewAttack.com's 'Life in a Game' were having an epic Team Fortress 2 battle, it went on until the store closed it was awesome.
James and I have met once again and I gotta say that he will be back down again. He left once again with alot of retro shit which is awesome, expect more AVGN !
What I gotta say is the highlight of the event (besides the Starcade) was when Doug, The Nostalgic Critic showed up. I'm a fan of his work and I was in on the secret that he was coming down but I didn't think it was gonna be that epic! As you can tell in the video I posted, it was hilarious. Meeting him was cool though, Nick and I told him that Coldguy was in fact there but couldn't stay, he replied to saying that it was a shame. But what I really don't get is why he didn't say goodbye or even stay longer, he drove all the way down from Chicago and just filmed his video, bought Shaq Fu, talked to some people, then left! Kind of strange if you ask me....
Thanks to all who attended! We actually had so many people from ScrewAttack.com show up, which makes me happy that I'm getting the word of the store up
Until next month, I'm Dastardly Dylan and I AM GREAT!
