descision for the year 200

got tax $ coming and I'm trying to pick, do i get a 360 or boost the pc up with a new mobo & cpu.

A little back story, I currently do not own any of the current gen systems, there are games that definitly want to play but, I'm wondering about long term. I know most of the good games int the past were ported to the PC. And I do prefer the PC to the console, (ability to tweak graphics and change game play)

So that's my delima, (sp),

I guess what I'm also asking is where is the near future of gaming going, PC or Console? Are games still being actively ported to PC from console? Haven't seen many as of late ie grand theft auto 4 and such
