Smile requesting update or clarification for Justifier gun for the Genesis

I was looking at the Database and was looking at hardware mre specifically the one for the Konami Justifier. Now i think theres a discrepancy or unclear statement here in the description...
"A light gun originally sold in a box-set with Lethal Enforcers. We have seen this in both blue AND pink, but check that you have a Konami product as there is a convincing clone called "The Punisher" out there. See separate entry for that in this database. Pink Justifiers are more uncommon, add two to the rarity and $5 to the dollar value listed here."

I was always understanding that the Blue was shipped with lethal enforcer (its what came with mine) with a card to send away for the 2nd player gun..which i understood to be the pink gun. now am i wrong here..was there 1st player pink guns? or were all pink guns 2nd player?

Actually, I have a retail box for the second player gun. It is kind of strange looking. It looks like it was sold in stores. Anyone else have this?

I dont have anything called the Punisher.

What's the discrepancy? The second gun you sent away for, making it more uncommon than the blue one. As mentioned above it may have also been sold in stores but I've never seen that and I'd consider that exceptionally rare. The pink gun has an ethernet-style cord to attach it to the blue gun.

WHen i worked at goodwill a lethal enforcers box came in once. none of the inside packaging was there, it was an outer box, the cart, and a pink gun. That may or may not be evidence to support a pink gun release, but it's the "player 2" gun for sure, it's got the phone plug looking cord. there was no blue gun with it.

Oddly enough the same type of thing happened to me, I bought a badly labeled group of genesis games on ebay and the boxed lethal enforcers had the pink gun with it. I wondered what the hell the seller did with the blue gun, but never asked since it was a lot easier finding a blue 1st player gun than it would've been to locate a pink one (I think I finally got a blue justifier from a member here). If I didn't know the difference in the guns I would've been pissed off trying to play the game when I wouldn't have been able to plug in the gun anywhere.

I've got a boxed Player 2 gun here:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MESE:IT&ih=005

I've had a question about it that I'm not too sure on - the guy says that since there is no mention of Megadrive / Mega CD on the box, he assumes that this gun can be used in conjunction with either the Megadrive Player 1 gun or the SNES Player 1 gun.

Now I would have assumed the opposite - but he's right about there being no mention of the console on the box. Could that be why Konami did this, so that they could manufacture a generic Player 2 gun that they could sell to both SNES and Megadrive owners?

I beleive that was the strategy. My japanese box looks the same. No mentioning of either Sega or Nintendo. The box is made so that it can hold either a japanese SFC cart or a Mega CD.

I've got a loose pink gun lying around, what is something like that worth? I don't have the box, that's awesome, btw.
It would be faster to tell you what games I don't have.

Not much, they seem to be pretty uncommon, but cheap. I've seen one in a video game store for under $10.
<skaar> Sega is like Marilyn Monroe would be if she was still alive but at one point went completely bankrupt and started making skin flicks.

The big box in mint condition goes for for about $30-40 shipped. Though they'll sometimes go for ~20/25ish on ebay.

**Edit: Oops - sorry for bumping an old thread. Missed the date!

I had one of these boxed. I found it in Atlanta while I was doing an extended business trip. I had found a ton of stuff on the trip that I boxed up and checked onto the plane. However, this was soon after 9/11 and even a pink gun with a phone cord sticking out the end probably wouldn't have jived with security, even checked, so I had to leave it behind.
