I spotted these at a Goodwill today, near the registers (the local Goodwills are among the many that often get unsold Target clearance stuff). They were charging 49 cents each.

I would never eat anything I found at Goodwill, whether it was from Target or otherwise...

    Tonight, I found:

    Psyclone PS3 component cable - $4.98
    Tony Hawk's Underground (GC, PC) - $4.98
Currently playing: Fallout 3 and Namco Museum Virtual Arcade (both 360)

    Spotted at Target this evening:

    Guitar Hero Wireless Guitar (PS2) - $41.98
NASCAR '08 (PS2) - $14.98 (hardly worth noting, but it was the only clearance game I saw)

Yeah, I scored The Orange Box (PS3) myself today for $14.98.

    I also got:
    Boogie (PS2) - $7.48
    Golden Compass (PS2) - $7.48
    Tony Hawk's Proving Ground (PS3) - $12.48

A soccer mom ripped the other two copies of Boogie off the locked peg they were affixed to, which was strange. Damn, soccer moms are strong.

Also, the associate in the electronics section was being a jack@$$ when I asked him to pricecheck the "As Is" items. He refused and told me that "As Is" items don't get reduced any further, which is a load of crap.

Sometimes those "as-is" items have special white/orange price tags on them. I'm pretty sure you can take those to the price scanners around the store to cut out the middle man part.

I just noticed that. The ones around here are still $29.98 so you got a really good deal.

My Target also had Gamecubes for the same price. They also had:

    Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC)-$14.98
    Zelda:Twilight Princess (GC)-$24.98
A whole bunch of copies of Harlem Globetrotters for DS-$4.98

They also has strategy guides for the following games on clearance-

    Saints Row
Metroid Prime Hunters (1 copy, in bad condition)
Mortal Kombat Armageddon (also in bad condition)

They also had a bunch of other games but nothing really worth mentioning.

I think that Target as a whole has the same games on clearance but some of them lower their discounted prices sooner. I see that your Target had Mario Kart: Double Dash(GC) for $14.98, but mine still has it for $20.98. I wanted to wait for them to discount the Super Smash Brothers Melee lower than the $20.98 I got them for, but I knew someone else would have picked them up first.

I stumbled onto this thread recently, so I've started poking around a bit at Target and today I found one item of note:

Gamecube (Black) - brand new in box $49.98

My 10 year-old bought a used Indigo one from GameStop last year for $29.99, but I figure someday we might need a backup for it. This was the last one in the entire store, so I didn't want to wait and see if it would drop anymore this week.

Aren't Wednesday's the day that they mark stuff down again?

When I got my Gamecube two weeks ago for $69.98, it was one of only two for sale. However, another Target has a whole cabin full of them. If they stay there unsold like they are now I'm sure they will go down alittle more. Then I can get another one and will return the more expensive one.

Wanted to toss out there that I saw Def Jam Icon for the 360 at my Target for $7.48. Not my type of game, but some may want to keep a heads up for that.

I have seen alot of games at discounted prices at Target lately that, like you said, aren't my type of game and thus I don't pick them up. Thats why I encourage everyone to visit your local Target atleast twice a week. They are obviously remodeling their game section and are trying to get rid of alot of their inventory. Theres still plenty of great deals to be had

    Picked up today for PSP:

    Street Fighter Alpah 3 Max - $14.99
    Jeanne D'arc - $20.99
    Final Fantasy - $20.99

Not the cheapest, and I don't even have a PSP but I couldn't pass these up. I guess this is a good excuse to get one.

I just wish target would discount stuff beyond 75% off before sending them off like the clearances K-mart, Sears, or Shopko does since there are plenty of games I'll buy for $5 that target will only discount to $10 or $15 since their original starting points before the clearance drops are $40 or $60

I got Lego Star Wars for the Xbox and Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 for PS2, both for $4.98 at Target. And these weren't the only games that they had for sale under $9.98. Like I said, just keep checking in regularly and you will find some pretty amazing deals

But those were $20 regular price before they were clearanced, so they went down to $4.98, $30 regular priced games won't drop below $7.48, $40...$9.98, $50...$12.48, and $60...$14.98.

I found a platinum GameCube at another Target yesterday for only $49.98, even though it was clearance stickered at $69.98 still. So make sure to take them to those price checkers.

BY the way, all of what I'm finding is usually on one of the back row aisle endcaps - usually about 5-6 aisles away from the video game section. In the videogame area, I don't find any cheap stuff at all. Is this typical for all Targets everywhere?

The one in my town leaves some in with the games and the rest on the endcap right next to the games. In the 2 targets closest to me in nearby towns they are a few rows away so it really just depends on location.

    Hmm, where to start...

    Guitar Hero 2(with guitar) for PS2 $39.99
Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles for Psp $14.98
The Orange Box for PS3 $14.98
Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories for PS2 $4.98
    Hitman Contracts Dvd I-Guide $2.48

The following wasn't purchased at Target but I decided to list them anyway. I bought these games(all factory sealed) at an import store here in Maryland:

Spy Hunter: Nowhere To Run for Xbox $9.99
The Guy Game for XBox $9.99
    Jampack Vol. 14 for PS2 $2.99
Fire Pro Wrestling Strategy Guide for GBA $1.00

So yeah, today was a pretty good day
