Is the Jurassic Park PS2 Game Supposed To Have a Long Load Time?

I just got a good copy at a local pawn shop for $8.
After it starts up, the load time at the beginning (before the intro) is REALLY long.
Is this game just like this, or is my copy bad?

Don't tell me it's so long that you had time to write this while it was still loading!? O_o

No, it wasn't that long....
I'll clock it and post it's timing.

But yours eventually does get to the game part right? Yeah, this game is KNOWN for it's long load times. I once had this game on the PS2 and it usually took about 3 minutes or so for my saved game to load. I loved the game so it was just a minor annoyance to me.

Yeah, it does get to the game.
(takes almost 2 minutes to start the intro though!)

Anyway, thanks for letting me know that the bad load times were not just me.
