Default gaming funk, dont wanna play anything.

I'm sure this has happened to everyone at one point, but I really don't feel like playing games. I'm super bored when I'm not at work or the gym or out somewhere and when I look at mu huge game collection I really don't feel like playing any of them.

What should I do about this? I haven't played a game in weeks, aside from the occasional Audiosurf song. Maybe it's just a phase or maybe I don't have any good games left to play.

Everybody gets like that. Got any games you haven't played yet? Do that. I beat every game I have 100%, so I have nothing to do most of the time. I do get bored sometimes, though. It's normal, don't sweat it.

I've played every game I own, but I rarely beat them.

I've played very few games I own but always try to beat them. If we combined our powers, we could be completely normal.

I've been playing Audiosurf a good bit since yesterday and love it to bits. Currently ranked #1 worldwide on elite for Guns n Roses - Coma. Suck it.

I get in that gaming funk occasionally also. Sometimes it lasts a few days, once it even lasted a couple of months. It's completely normal, as far as I can tell. It's just like any other hobby; sometimes you really get into it, other times you just want to focus on other hobbies (the gym, hanging out with friends, etc.) I would advise you to delay playing any games that you are really looking forward to playing until you regain your taste for gaming. I have ruined some awesome games for myself by making myself play through them even though I didn't feel like it.

I just came back from a really long one myself. They come and they pass, Before you know it you'll be enjoying it once again. Good luck and I hope it ends for you pretty soon.

My advice: sell your games to those of us who want them, cheap!

I have that right now. I told my friend I am done with classic gaming. I have played my share of older systems like Atari 2600, NES, SNES, N64, Sega and others but right now with the release of GTA IV I want a 360. The newest system I have is an XBOX but I want to get past on playing the old games and want something new.
I enjoy the classics of Mario Brothers, Sonic, and Frogger but there is more to gaming then knowing the same game over and over again. So look out as well, I will be selling my stuff here soon on here.

Drawing and remembering the days when you were a kid always helps me. As soon as I start doodling VG chars I'm playing a game in 5 minutes because it gets me in da funk.

It works even if you don't have artistic skills. Used to get me play sonic back in the day when I was crap at drawing. If it doesn't work, it'll pass, it always does.

I try not to own any rare shit. that way if this happens there is no incentive to selling yer crap.

I collect games like baseball cards. Except Instead of staring at what I own there is a story, a challenge.. visuals, sound and probably getting in dudes bases and thus killin them. Take THAT Nolan Ryan!

Don't do anything about it, just do whatever you feel like doing until you feel like playing video games again.

It's funny how people seem to feel somehow obligated to fight their own basic nature. Everything works in cycles, man. Just go wherever it takes you.

Take up rugby, or maybe butterfly collecting.

Those should get you through this funk.

Every time I get to feeling in a gaming funk, I reorganize my game room. It's kind of labor intensive, but you'll find stuff you forgot you owned/wanted to play. I was starting to get into a funk last month, but I switched things around and now I'm back full steam. Playing through Bioshock again, picked up Culdcept Saga, and am about to level through CoD4.
