Default Cocktail Arcade tables utilized in new hotel project...

...I really can't go into major details about it due to project non-disclosure, but my girlfriend is an interior designer for a major NYC firm ... she works primarily on restaurant and hotel design, and usually designs spaces like bars, restaurants and lounge areas. Very very hip, trendy, upscale stuff, rarely anything boring or stuffy.

This past month her company took on a new project for a client that will be going up in the NYC area, and in all of the restaurant, bar, and lounge areas, she decided to use cocktail-style arcade cabinets (likely the ones with legally licensed multicade type setups) for ALL the seating table/booth setups!

It'll likey be something similar to this ... but much more modern design-wise.

Again, I wish I could go into greater detail about it, but until the project is further along, there are plenty of privacy issues to deal with.

If you're going to be at NAVA on Saturday, feel free to chat her up about it, I'm sure she'll be happy to go into greater detail about it in person!

Man that is so damn awesome!!!

You know, after getting my own cocktail table..I thought=It would be cool if places-restaurants had tables that you sat and ate at with games in them..

I've never been to a Dave & Busters but I figure they' might be a company to do something like that.

That is awesome. The other day I was having a conversation about how cool I think it would be to open up a Barcade with the tables being converted cocktail arcade tables, and having classic cabinets (Pac-Man, Galaga, Joust, etc.) around the bar. I know there already establishments like that that already exist, but I think it would be cool to open one in my area with the cocktail arcade table idea and that picture is ideal. When you can talk more about the project, maybe you can tell us what the name of the establishment is so when I go to New York I'll have somewhere where I definitely want to stop there.

I'll definitely keep everybody posted of it's eventual location ... and from what I understand, it'll be in a hotel restaurant/lounge where you won't have to be a registered guest of the hotel to walk in and enjoy.

I weep for the moment that control panel meets spilled drink.

    Nope.

The financeers for the project decided against coctail machines in the lounge.

We were all pretty upset about it ... but the design firm she works for will look to put them into a future project where they have more universal control over those things.

The only place that I've seen cocktail arcade machines recently is the Pop Century Hotel in Disneyworld. If my memory serves me correct, they have 2 machines @ the food court area.
