    Default Cleaning nes Carts?

    hey guys

wondering what do you use to Clean your Nes carts

I use alcohol tampons i just rub it on it until clear then i dry it with a cloth
    to ensure it doesn't rust..

I use also the eraser trick
i don't know how good it is... since i'm worried it can leave a residue on the cart

    thanks for your help
    !

there are a ton of ways to clean your carts, and alot of people will argue about which method is best. do what works for you..... i use q-tips and alcohol, and the eraser.

    I have the method.....

And I shall reveal it when someone buys my huge lot of loose NES games.

Until then, the rest you will have to suffer!!!!

You don't happen to be grinding off the top layer of the connectors with a griding wheel on a Dremel are you? I've had to do that ONCE with an especially stubborn copy of The Legend of Zelda that had some kind of varnish on the connectors. Ground them silver, like in the picture in your thread.

As for the OP, use the search feature and you'll find a ton of threads of cleaning advice. The most common way to do it is to open up the cartridges and use 70% - 90%+ by volume rubbing alcohol. That's what I always do, for especially problematic carts I use other cleaners / methods. However 98% of the time some alcohol does the trick.
