The best party game ever is making it's long awated return to the Wii.
And with the Wii's controllers, it's a match made in heaven!!

Great news? Yes! What an epical addition to the Wii. Well, maybe I'm asserting too much but it'll be interesting.

this and rock band will keep me rockin for some time (now that GH2 is losing my interest)
Definetly a good move. Certainly helps the wii imo with this and nights and ghost squad and the zapper accessory and smash bros and some other stuff I actually don't regret owning a wii!
I love GH2 but I can only spend but 30-60 minutes at a time playing it, either my hand gets tired or I'm sick of playing the same damn song over and over to crank out 5 stars. I will need to get the first GH once the price goes down, I'm not as anxious to purchase the 80's edition though, I'd instead prefer to buy a bunch of 80's music instead of the game.

Alright!
And believe it or not, I actually wouldn't complain if they bundled maracas or something.
Welcome to Macintosh.
SWEET! That's totally bad ass. Now gamers who don't have a dreamcast, can enjoy the feel of Samba with the Wii Remote. Macarcas would be a nice touch for the Wii. I had a killer time playing the Disco mini game in Rayman Raving Rabbids, so I'm totally ciked for Samba De Amigo. Take care everyone.

Yup, still a browncoat.
This is some good news from Sega. It shows that at the very least, they are willing to release more of their back catalog of games in the US.
Now how about bringing those Sega Ages series over here?
I imported every single game in the series and it is by far the best reason to own a Japanese PS2 console other than the SNK releases!
I'm sorry, but with Guitar Hero and now Rock Band out there (I guess we still have to see if that's going to take off as well...), there is never going to be a more popular music party game. It's just not going to happen. It's nice to see the series come back, but I feel it's too little too late.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Number 1 in the 'hood g!
I've always said that Samba and the Wii would be perfect together! I'll get it in a heartbeat.

There's a trailer up for it on IGN:

IMO this ad is awful and I can't see anyone wanting the game who hasn't already played on the dreamcast it after watching the ad

I read in another thread that Shenmue is rumored to be coming to the Wii, too. So, House of the Dead 2, Sega Bass Fishing, Samba de Amigo, and Shenmue all on the Wii. It seems like the Wii is becoming the Dreamcast 2!
How awesome would it be if Sega released Crazy Taxi, Jet Grind Radio, Zombie Revenge, Virtua Tennis, and Space Channel 5 on the Wii as well?
Bump. This game is coming out next month. I'm stoked.
One thing I found interesting in the song list:
"Groove Is In the Heart – Dee Lite" (not a cover version either)
Interesting because Lady Miss Kier sued Sega claiming that Ulala was an unauthorized use of her likeness (and there is definitely a resemblance, but it was a coincidence). She lost that suit and had to pay Sega hundreds of thousands of dollars. This game licenses her song, and Ulala is makes an appearance. Double whammy! I wonder if she agreed to the use of the song, or if it's purely a record label deal (I'm not sure exactly how these things work)...
Oh yeah, and it's finally confirmed that maracas attachments will indeed be available.
