I'm honestly not sure if this topic has been covered in the past and I'm very sorry if it has but I was sitting here going through DP and one of my favorites came to mind.

I will never forget being at the edges of Nevada with my family and stopping in what was the first Casino we had seen on our way to Vegas for a family get togethor. The place had a NICKEL arcade with maybe 10-15 games. Back then it didn't really matter how many games they had, I would play for hours and hours on one machine. For the first time in my life I ran in to a little game called "Smash TV" and instanly bacame a hardcore fan of it's crazy style but more importantly the addicting voice overs by the game show host. My brother and I must have gone through 20 rolls of nickles each. (I'm sure I went through more than him..I was the baby and maybe 8 years old back then :) )

All I can say is...

"BIG MONEY...BIG PRIZES..I LOVE IT!"

Hahah...definetely was the goodies. One day I'll have that game in my house.

Any good one's you can think of?

The 'Santulli Slant' got it spot on when it commented on my favorite videogame quote, "I will destroy everything! I will create a monument to non-existence." (Kefka, Final Fantasy III [IV]) This and many of Kefka's other nugets rank high among videogame moments.

But the real question, is Kefka Kafkaesque???
I have my answer, but is it the only one?

You kind of have to have HEARD these for them to be funny, but here goes.

They both come from TG-16 CD Roms; the first is from Y's III, Wanderers, where Chester is about to kick into the lava pit at the (alsaido? can't remember) ruins. Captain Obvious says to you "There is molten lava down there" [long pause] Continues threat... It's just really awkward sounding, sort of aprosodic speech like stroke patients or something...

The second is one that me and my friend quote constantly, from Valis III. The first-level boss says: "Hey, Ask your sword, Yuko!"

And I can't believe nobody mentioned "Let's play money making game" or "It's a secret to everyone".

Some, like "a winner is you!" is so much a part of common vernacular that I don't even know exactly where it came from.

Sometimes, late at night, "Henshin a-gogo, baby!" rings ominously in my ears.

1. Damn near every phrase or item shouted out in any Metal Slug game. I've been known to wander my store while empty and just pick up random items and yell out "SHOTGUN!' 'FLAME THROWER' "THANK YOU!" etc

2. "Sob, Sob. I am beaten." Kickle Cubicle

3. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidge Racer..Revoluuution, tion...tion...tion....

4. "You were good, you fought well. You were perfect! I met, my maaaaaatch." - Krauser, Fatal Fury Special / 2

5. "I never thought the inventor of something so sophisticated would be so....cute." Snake, MGS2

6. "How bout' my Baby Betty blow you a kiss!" "You're a strange one, naming your helicopter." - Last Alert

7. "I've got a chaos theory for you..." - Striker, Burnout 3

8. "I don't care what your name is. Your new name is...Mid-Boss! (watch characters name get dropped and replaced with 'Mid-Boss' text) - Disgaea

so many...

From "Serious Sam" for the XBox:

Sam comes across this area where he sees a door that's locked. Apparently, the statue of a 2 headed dragon with the heads on both ends (it has no tail) has something to do with unlocking the door.

Upon looking at the statue, Sam says one of the funniest lines I've ever heard in a video game:

"Hmmm. I've always known that two heads are better than one....."

*silence for about 2 seconds*

"But how does it fart?"

That line had me ROFL

Anyway, to answer the question, no. The original Duke Nukem's did not come out on a console unfortunately. Duke 1 and 2 sadly. There WAS a GBC Duke, but of course, I don't think it was anything like the old DOS games. Which I played to death back in the day.

NOTE: Some of the language used within the sight might not be, ummm... appropriate. Catch my drift.

Speedbal (2?)l: "Ice cream! Ice cream!" (Probably because my friends and I used to have tournaments on the Amiga version of this game)

Star Ocean 2: "The back?" (Rena, I think).
"BEHIND me?"

All the voice acting i n SO2 was cheesy as hell, which is why it sticks in your head.

Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance: "I've found something." (Archer). Another pretty cheesy voice that my wife and I seem to keep repeating all the time.

Anything from Conker's Bad Fur Day, particularly the drunk scarecrows sayings, or the little Death with the helium voice, especially his rant about cats. Funniest thing I've heard from a game in ages! Or the Scouser (sorry, Liverpudlian) beetles voices, absolutely hilarious!

The last metroid is in captivity. The universe is at peace.

Just thinking about this voice clip makes me nauseous. It is probably the worst voice in any SNES game, ever. It sounds like some gay guy with a lisp. They ruined an epic beginning with an annoying voice. There is no point to having it in the game. What a waste of ROM space.

In 'Tony Hawk 2', on the Venice level where you have to ollie over the 5 bums scattered around the area. Every time you jump a bum, the bum says "Get outta here, ya' creep!" in a dirty-old-man voice... I can't even count how many times I've used that phrase in various real-life situations. Sure raises a few eyebrows, though! :D

Somebody quoted a phrase from 'Operation Wolf' earlier.... here's some more favs from that classic game:

"You have a few rockets bombs left"
"You have a few physical strength left"

In 'Zombie's Revenge', as you're moving your character (one of whom is named, eh, 'Stick Breitling') throughout the level with a small amount of time on the game clock, a booming voice from outta nowhere repeatedly reminds you that 'There's no time!'.......... 'There's no time!' *ad nauseum*

"Victory Excites Me!" Ein, from DOA 2 (DC version) or,
"Good Vibrations!" Ein, once again, DOA 2 (DC version)
