I was cutting out some ads from some old vid mags today, and I saw an article in the Sept. '93 issue of Video Games & Computer Entertainment called Fandango. Anyway, there was a spot on the DP newsletter. It says that "By the time you read this, Santulli should be finished with the 12th issue of Digital Press, one of the finest publications in all of fandom." Well, I just got issue #48 in the mail a few days ago! What gives? Either that Santulli is one hell of a fast writer, or something is seriously wrong here.

Hahaha!
All this confusion? It's easy. We've been around for 11 years. He's reading an old magazine that was talking about Digital Press' latest issue which was at the time #12 (we're on #49 now).
I've kept all of those issues where we were featured in "pro" magazines. Did you know that in 1993 we were named "Fanzine of the Year" by Video Games & Computer Entertainment Magazine? Yep, we rock. :D

I was running through some early issues of "Superplay" (UK SNES magazine) and noticed a couple of mentions for DP in there...

I've read that exact same issue of VG&CG, and it is indeed kinda weird to see a mention from way back when about DP. I also read in that same magazine (but different issue) about the first DP Guide, which had the inconvenience of Joe forgetting to announce the price for the guide! :P
